Disney has put out a survey for those that have attended the D23 Fan Event this year. One of the questions ask if you are a fan of specific franchises and one of the options includes Kingdom Hearts.

I am honestly still reeling for the fact that not only did BENJAMIN BRATT got to unveil a new trailer for KH4, not only is he reprising his role as Ernesto in KH4, but HE is also the one to announce the KH anime series. …..tbh they should get him to voice an original character if they went this far

Pokémon is no stranger to Hulu, but it being on Disney+ without any ties to Hulu feels very surreal. The fact that the Pokémon Company, owner of factually the world’s largest media franchise, is choosing to let Disney stream the anime is such a big deal and I need more people to realize this.

I contacted Square Enix Support if the “Advent Red” Keyblade would somehow be included in the Switch 2 version of Kingdom Hearts 3. Of course, take it with a grain of salt as things could always change later and wait for official announcements, but this is what they had to say:

Greetings,

Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game features only the "Long Night" Keyblade, and will not include the "Advent Red" Keyblade.

Here is how the platform-exclusive Keyblades for Kingdom Hearts III break down:
- Switch 2 Exclusive: Long Night
- Original Switch (Cloud Version) Exclusive: Advent
Red
- Steam Exclusive: Dead of Night
- Xbox Exclusive: Phantom Green
- PlayStation Exclusive: Midnight Blue

Thank you,

Would also like to point out that when the Switch 1 first launched in 2017, the user icons provided were just wholly Nintendo-owned IPs in this specific order: Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, Pikmin, Star Fox, and Metroid. The dominoes were already lined up since then.

Disney Animation's Songs in Sign Language debuted on Disney+ today and I just gotta say, the one for Moana 2's "Beyond" was my unexpected favorite from the bunch and a big reason for that is that they had to reanimate ASL onto a lot of dialogue too, not just the song. (1/2)

Also yeah, I knew about what Bob Weis has said before. It's just that this new concept gave off very similar vibes to that early Shanghai Disneyland concept art to the point that I'm hesitant to comment anything more about it.

“Bob Weis former president of WDI described Shanghai’s proposed 2nd park as “The team presented a highly creative new kind of park, with elements of nature, culture, the arts, and an overall deeply immersive environment that suggested a new-generation version of EPCOT. Many viewers who witnessed the presentation gave it a standing ovation.””

Not gonna say anything about that alleged leaked concept art for Shanghai Disney's 2nd park until something's officially announced. Reminder that this was concept art for Shanghai Disneyland where it looked very much like Disneyland Paris but it ended up being built very differently.

I sometimes wonder, given how continuously bigger Figment's presence has gotten, if Disney will ever bite the bullet and build a new attraction starring Figment outside of WDW. On one hand, he's so synonymous with WDW and Epcot specifically that it's hard for me to imagine him outside of WDW. (1/2)

We're halfway through March now, nearing April. We didn't get any sneak peek or mention of Disney Animation's Hexed from today's meeting and the film releases November of this year. I think it's time we should be able to get a new closer look at this film.

One thing that I love about webcasts like the Walt Disney Company's Annual Meetings of Shareholders is that Disney will just play the Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings album by Jack Jezzro as the waiting music as if they think nearly no one will recognize where those renditions are from. But I do. 😏

A lot of people who follow animation online would say that it's been back for a while and that is true. But none of those recent films has had the reach any big new Disney Animation or Pixar film had so far. And I think we're unfortunately not gonna see that reach until Disney does it themselves.

110 0

🐻 @beefymustache55.bsky.social · 09/03/2026

Unfortunately, I really do think that in order for theatrical 2D animation films to be truly seen as actually “back” by the masses, there needs to be a new movie from Walt Disney Animation Studios themselves purely out of the fact that that studio is a household name that carries so much weight.

Something that I'm immediately curious to see under Josh's run is what he meant by this, specifically the first part. Does he mean more social interactive experiences like the Disney X Fortnite collab or do we really mean games in general like Kingdom Hearts? (1/2)

Would like to remind everyone that this is the gen AI company that Disney partnered with for Disney+. God willing, I hope it comes to a point where Disney has to abandon ship before it even starts.

OpenAI is rapidly losing money and is projected to lose $14 billion in 2026 alone.

If they can't get another round of funding, OpenAI could run out of money as soon as 2027.

Sometimes I think that if Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers didn't exist, we could've gotten a sequel TV series for The Great Mouse Detective. …I also think it may have been a good thing it wasn't made back then for the sole fear that it would've been very likely they'd give Basil a female love interest.
