…..I’m still not a fan of fixing Wish just so Asha can have a romance on Starboy, like I’m sorry, after watching Wish, I just don’t see Asha as someone actually interested in romance at all.

Since Boardwalk Times started the topic on twitter, I made a thread on there about my ideas on how Kingdom Hearts can work in a Disney Park. If y’all are interested, I could repost what I said over here. 👀

…I would not blame Square Enix and Disney if going forward, Kingdom Hearts just stayed Nintendo exclusive because HOW THE FUCK did Steam accidentally leaked the ENTIRE DISNEY WORLD LIST FOR KINGDOM HEARTS IV through achievements?????

Any time Disney Experiences drops news *before* or plans to drop news *after* D23 leaves me confused because why couldn’t those announcements have been saved for that? Especially during one where a vocal amount of people online were disappointed.

Disney has put out a survey for those that have attended the D23 Fan Event this year. One of the questions ask if you are a fan of specific franchises and one of the options includes Kingdom Hearts.

Find it nice that they still let Bill Rogers do new announcements during D23. You can still hear him in the morning when Disneyland officially opens, but it’s only once per day. Miss hearing his voice, the warmth in his voice really matches the idea of Disneyland being home.

Pokémon is no stranger to Hulu, but it being on Disney+ without any ties to Hulu feels very surreal. The fact that the Pokémon Company, owner of factually the world’s largest media franchise, is choosing to let Disney stream the anime is such a big deal and I need more people to realize this.

I haven’t watched the live-action Moana and I don’t plan to, but between the reviews saying she’s the best part of the film and listening to the soundtrack myself, I think it’d be a huge disservice to Catherine Laga’aia (who plays Moana) to not land her a role in the animated continuity for Moana 3.

Honestly shouldn’t have deleted my old posts about the discourse surrounding Hexed's vertical ratio because the directors just outright confirmed it wasn’t true. I really did think this was something gone out of hand and not something to worry about, so I’m glad I was right on this. #Hexed

From a technical angle, the nifty thing about this short is that it's a mix of hand-drawn 2D animation and 2D-styled CG animation rendered using Disney's Hyperion Renderer, but you can't tell at all which is which. Our artists knocked it out of the park; it's completely seamless.

Toy Story 5 felt like very classic Pixar and I mean that in a good way. A bit disjointed in the first half juggling multiple plot lines, but it all really comes together after that. I didn't think having a Toy Story 5 was necessary at all, but after seeing it, I'm really glad it exists now.

I contacted Square Enix Support if the “Advent Red” Keyblade would somehow be included in the Switch 2 version of Kingdom Hearts 3. Of course, take it with a grain of salt as things could always change later and wait for official announcements, but this is what they had to say:

Greetings,

Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game features only the "Long Night" Keyblade, and will not include the "Advent Red" Keyblade.

Here is how the platform-exclusive Keyblades for Kingdom Hearts III break down:
- Switch 2 Exclusive: Long Night
- Original Switch (Cloud Version) Exclusive: Advent
Red
- Steam Exclusive: Dead of Night
- Xbox Exclusive: Phantom Green
- PlayStation Exclusive: Midnight Blue

Thank you,

Here's the first trailer for Hexed, our new film coming out in November! We're working super hard on this one right now. As usual, 100% rendered using Disney's Hyperion renderer! Also, since it's worth clarifying these days, completely made by humans, btw. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtC4...

I already saw a post saying that dropping a trailer for Hexed now is bad timing after right after Shrek 5 and I'd normally agree. However. The fact that Shrek 5 is already having some controversy while Hexed is actually gaining some positivity means it'll probably be fine.

Disney Animation's Songs in Sign Language debuted on Disney+ today and I just gotta say, the one for Moana 2's "Beyond" was my unexpected favorite from the bunch and a big reason for that is that they had to reanimate ASL onto a lot of dialogue too, not just the song. (1/2)

The album to the Adventure Way BGM for Disney Adventure World released and I love it! While I love the various Symphonic Suites in the album, the real star, in my opinion, is the main theme itself. I think it really captures the essence of “childhood” and feelings of a home you wanna go back to.

Given that a good chunk of parking lot they could've used for this ended up going to Fantasy Springs in Tokyo DisneySea, I'd imagine they have no choice but to make more land reclamation if this ends up happening.
