the low-effort digital doodle of chibi luna i posted earlier today, except in full color, and showing the full square canvas, of which the little moon spirit takes up a small portion. nothing else has changed about the doodle.

there are no excuses for lacking any knowledge and understanding of things in today's internet age, where you do not need any sort of credibility, prerequisite, or free time to learn something. there are no excuses for not using the resources already available to you - not just on your creative program of choice, but built into your device as well. there are no excuses for half-assing certain details when references exist for you to go off of, and if the best reference you have is something of poor quality where an element that isn't fully discernible, and you can't nail it at 100%, get as close as you can regardless of any circumstance. if it doesn't turn out well the first time, try again; practice doesn't have to make perfect but it will make progress.

next time you think about doing anything out of your comfort zone, and are hesitant to follow through with it, put that into consideration.

1. regarding luna's old audio editing method: a rushed drawing of a sad and frustrated luna at her computer, looking back at the viewer while crying and quietly mumbling "i don't know what i'm doing...". on her screen is audacity, in which an audio track has been made and currently in spectrogram view, with an unspecified frequency range selected. luna must be crying about how difficult the audio editing process must be, knowing not of her flawed method.

2. regarding luna's model and assets on it that fans claim to be "distracting": two drawings of a chibi luna. one has boobs with a black mouse cursor over them. the other has a flat chest, with the boobs (with a black censor bar over them) being dragged away by said cursor.

3. regarding luna's new audio editing method: a caption reads "Luna after downloading Reaper:". below that is a somewhat detailed drawing of luna in her secretary outfit standing with her arms crossed and a smug expression on her face as she stands in front of a large mixing board in a control room - presumably based off of the "big room" at real world studios in the village of box, england. real world studios is one of the best studios in the world, with a number of world-famous artists/bands having recorded there; the joke here would be that installing and using reaper (or really anything other than audacity) would make you a good audio engineer - perhaps even good enough to work at real world. not that i'd know or anything.

you were going to pay your coworker luna a visit to ask for something you needed her help with, since she happened to be the least busiest at this hour. she's kind of an ordinary catgirl, bar her love for anime. her cubicle is pretty decorated with a bunch of merch. posters of "clannad" and "promare" on the wall, and along it, books of "fruits basket", some yuri comic, "aria", and whatever that japanese reads. "rozen maiden", was it that she said once? either way, nothing that would interest you. oh, and she's got a figure of venti from "genshin impact" by her right monitor. she doesn't talk much, but you just know she would yap about him for hours on end about if given the opportunity - the way her ears perked up when someone else brought up genshin the other day said more than enough on that. and what of her appearance? gray hair, young-looking face, basic brown eyes, glasses, blue shirt with white collar, and pants (doesn't she usually wear a skirt?). it's pretty bland - though that's probably because of your perception of reality having lost its color.

it's usually like this. everything is desaturated, perhaps even black-and-white. but today is different, today is not the same, today something has changed.

you notice that behind her, someone else is present - a spirit - watching from over the cubicle wall: shiny silver hair, dazzling blue eyes like diamonds, and an outfit which matches her eyes that's so unique... she as a whole stands out with her radiance. what's most noticeable, however is that... she looks just like your boring run-of-the-mill coworker...?!

what is this that you're seeing? is it the result of last night's extensive work session? is it from something someone put in the office's coffee? no, it was real, and it seems from luna's confused face that you're the only one that can see this.

the spirit smiles at you, her arms atop the wall as she rests her head on one hand.

...it seems you've forgotten what you needed help with.

THE TWO PIECE IS REAL!!!!!! last week on stream, @lunasmr.bsky.social talked about swimsuits and building the confidence to wear a two-piece after a fan brought it up, and it inspired me to draw this! hope you like it!

luna, spirit of the moon, wearing a two-piece swimsuit. the top is supposed to be based on a venti-style swimsuit design i found on google, except the center of the emblem is a crescent moon (i wanted to apply a similar concept to the bottom but i lowk gave up because i was drawing this in the middle of a big room in the public library and didn't want to be caught looking at venti swimsuits for too long). she is smiling with her eyes closed, blushing slightly, and holding a hand over her head to block the nonexistent sun, all while standing in an unspecified body of water (presumably an ocean, assuming this is a beach scene). she feels embarrassed to be wearing such an outfit, which is understandable, but the fact that she chose to wear it in the first place speaks volumes about the development of her character. besides, it doesn't matter what she wears between this, her default outfit, her nightgown, or anything else; she will always be the prettiest catgirl under the moon.

...also tater tot the bidoof is in the background playing with a beach ball! what a happy little guy!

my laptop's gonna die soon but i wrote something as well!!!

i don't know what i should say, what i can say that hasn't already been said, and what i should keep to myself, but i do have a few words to share on the past five years of lunasmr.

it's crazy to think that so much time has already passed, and that i've been around for most of it! i've reflected a lot on it recently - from how i came across luna in some other community on day one of her asmr journey while knowing nothing about it, to all the fun jokes that came about on her streams (i'm doubting anyone else knows or remembers tater tot the bidoof or venti eating uncooked packs of ramen) - and while i was so out of place and admittedly really cringe-inducing back then, there were still a lot of moments from that time period that still bring a smile to my face to this day.

i especially find it funny that i've been around for this long because, to tell the truth... i really am not a big fan of genshin or asmrs, so it doesn't really make sense for me to follow someone who does a combination of the two... and putting that aside, i'm also not a huge fan of vtubers, so it's weird that i'd be active in the stream chat of one, but there's something about luna as a vtuber that gives off really genuine vibes in comparison to the rest of the vtubing world out there. perhaps i could also say this about luna as a person; she's really sweet and honest, and you could tell that she means everything from the bottom of her heart.

not to mention, she's got such a beautiful voice, much like the soft breeze on a spring night; it takes me back to days i vaguely remember, save for the physical and emotional feelings ingrained in my head... i could just hear her talking about anything and never get bored. it makes me wonder if it comes from experience beyond asmr audios...

...alright, i'm going off track now! my point is, i'm grateful to be part of the journey, and here's to a successful five more years and beyond!

"white lips") by japanese progressive rock band shingetsu (because go figure, of course i would reference them). as it suggests, despite the fact that it's currently spring, the particles in question are implied to be snowflakes. i just didn't bother to put detail into them because i'm just lazy like that.

it's almost funny to hear the stark contrast between shingetsu from 1979 and this album from the 90s, but i like it a lot haha sources: shingetsu-koro.whitesnow.jp/shingetsukyo...

back cover for the 1994 cd reissue, which shows a different translation of "magic flute 'reitou'" as "freeze", but more importantly: while the image altogether is small, this to me shows the model name ("korg ps-3200") more clearly than the others when zoomed in. sourced from discogs.
