Kill Creatures by Rory Power. Really compelling. It kept me up until 12.45am, which unfortunately coincided with my cat not getting the Bank Holiday memo and deciding today should start at 6.30am 🥱

Spent a wonderful week on a course/retreat at Tŷ Newydd Writer's Centre in North Wales, studying writing for YA. Learnt so much from my tutors and feel utterly inspired by both them and my lovely course buddies. Can't wait to get #writing this weekend.

Imagine it's like that time at the Oscars where the wrong name was read out as the winner - imagine if someone puts the wrong colour chemicals in the chimney and then some embarrassed Cardinal has to run outside and explain.

Coffee, a good book, fresh nails: a good kind of Monday.

This was late last night, but the rain today has all but washed it away. Still, definitely a cosy day indoors with blankets, writing and reading for me.
