Just accidentally closed the browser that had all of my open tabs. What am I supposed to do now?

I love that General Assembly brings ruling and teaching elders together, all with voice and vote, all bringing their own expertise—from church vocations and vocations beyond the church—and passion to the plenary floor. #GA227

It’s #GA227 travel day for a lot of us! How’s it going out there, everyone? I’m driving through rainy southern Indiana this morning.

After 3 days with the ORD committee, I’m catching up on reading overtures and what happened in committees at #ga227. Good work, all of you!

010

Becky Durham @beckydurham.bsky.social · 24/06/2026

Oh no! You both have good, long names. How will you be known?

Becky Durham @beckydurham.bsky.social · 24/06/2026

I have now become familiar with the overture advocate from Susquehanna Valley, in mostly rural, upstate New York, having now heard him speak on two overtures. He seems surprisingly well rested. #ga227

Oh—sorry! And yes. And I know some people abstain from voting for whatever reason, but we were missing 8 on that one.

110

Becky Durham @beckydurham.bsky.social · 23/06/2026

Yes I know. But we also should not have hundreds of people asking to speak in their committee our size. 🙃

Just went to the Susquehanna Valley Presbytery website because I decided if they are going to overture #GA227 so much, I need to at least know where they are. (Doing my commissioner reading but still finding ways to procrastinate. 👍🏼)

We don’t seem to have enough #ga227 participation on bsky currently, but perhaps as we get closer it will make sense to make a pack/list. I’ll keep posting and tagging. The Milennial group has favored another platform even though @brookies.bsky.social and I fought the good fight (threads).

Prepping for #GA227 today. Reading through the Climate and Environmental Justice committee work. Can never remember what MRTI stands for and always have to look it up. Maybe by July, I’ll have it.

Hi Bruce! Do we have a general assembly list yet? Are you going to GA? It might be good to put together a list of people who will be there or who are participating/watching online.

The number of times I second-guess my knowledge of how to pronounce words when I’m preparing a sermon is a high number. The bless all of the people who make those how do you say ___ videos! 😅
