This was 7:47 this morning. No clouds, only smoke.

The sun in the sky, glowing red because of all the wildfire smoke in the air.

Of the Combo Breaker photos I took that capture the vibe of the weekend without adding context... this sure is one of them. #CB2026 #TakeItOff

A man stands shirtless on a stage wearing a backpack. The backpack has a corgi inside, sticking his head out. The man is facing away from the camera, toward a large projector screen that shows him from a front view. He is holding a purple video game controller in his right hand.

Would you risk it all to learn about WHEEL? #CB2026

A group of a dozen or so people standing in a line in a convention hall behind a large white sign that has the word "WHEEL" written on it in permanent marker.

Just stopped at a rest area outside of Battle Creek and I quickly realized I stopped here last year because my Henry Kissinger death celebration sticker is still up and in fantastic condition! becklo.com/shop/kissing...

A pole at a rest area that's covered in stickers. In the center is a sticker that says, "Henry Kissinger" and "November 29, 2023" in alternating colors in Comic Sans.

One of my favorite photos is of my friend Derek here on Fort St. The Ambassador Bridge is in the background with trucks backed up waiting to cross into Windsor, Ontario, because that's what trucks on the bridge do. Detroit, Michigan October, 2008 --- #Photography #NightPhotography #Sunset

A teenage boy stands on a yellow and red fire hydrant. He is wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans. His right arm is parallel to his body and his left hand rests on his stomach. There is a vibrant sunset behind him that is a dark purple to peachy shade of pink at the top and gradually becomes a vibrant yellow closer to the horizon. The blue of headlights from a car passing by is the best indication that the dark space to the right is a road. In the background is the silhouette of the Ambassador Bridge leading to Windsor, Ontario, Canada. There are multiple semi trucks on the bridge.

It's #ThingThursday and I'm sharing this WWII era pin-up girl matchbook from my great-grandfather's lumber yard at 7 Mile and Gratiot in Detroit. It stayed open until the mid-1990s and I have memories of going there as a kid.

A matchbook cover laying flat on a blue fabric with silver lines and petal shapes. The long half has a white pin-up girl sitting with her arms resting behind her head. She is wearing a short blue skirt with white polka dots and a red and white striped bikini top. Her brown hair is curled at her shoulders and she's wearing a bow in her hair that matches her skirt. Below her in blue text is "CALL TO ARMS" and above the used match striking spot is the text, "Strater-Beitzel Co. Detroit, Mich"
The other half of the matchbook says, in blue text, "LOCKE LUMBER COMPANY Pingree 1860, 14701 E. Seven Mile Rd. Detroit, Mich."

A crowd of people march east on Michigan Avenue at Washington Boulevard in Detroit during an emergency protest following the ICE murder of Renee Good in Minneapolis. A large apartment building has an eight story tall advertisement on the side that says, "Detroit voted for CLARITY. It's time for the Senate to ACT."

I'm not doing a strict new year resolution adherence because life happens and I don't need to stress myself out over arbitrary rules. That being said, I'm going to try to make at least one new creative thing per week. Here's a zoomed in, rough work in progress that I'm having fun with tonight! #wip

A zoomed in grid in Affinity Designer 2 with a purple gradient background, white circles, and six lines in pinks, purples, and blues at a 45 degree angle from top right to bottom left.

I just looked out my studio window and saw a very pretty sky. It might not be a magnificent sunset, but I like how calm it is. --- #Photography #Panorama #Sunset #Detroit

A panoramic photo of the sky. It is darker blue on the left and becomes a warmer yellow on the right. On the bottom are the tops of trees. Most of them are bare or have lost the majority of their leaves.

BREAKING: This coaster looks like a butthole.

A brown cork coaster on a hardwood table. The coaster is a flower with eight symmetrical petals and four thin, dark brown lines intersecting in the center. The lines tragically look like a crudely sketched puckered anus.

This came up in my memories today: Cameron, my beautiful little girl. She loved her supervised outdoor time and knew the sidewalk was her boundary, so she'd push said boundary as far as she could. Oak Park, Michigan Fall 2012 --- #Cats #PureMichigan #KonicaMinolta #Photography #DigitalPhotography

A tortoiseshell cat lays on the sidewalk with her back facing the camera. She is looking up at a tree with green leaves. A row of suburban houses and trees with various shades of green, yellow, and red line the street.

A white tent that says "Majic" on the top in blue with a blue trim along the top that says "Built for you. Built for a lifetime." in white. A vertical banner inside the tent is showing through and the blurry details of an old white man in a suit can be seen.
