daily reminder life is short. this morning i was told an old, longtime friend has died. last convo we had ended in us both talking about preferring seating to stalls at gigs, agreeing that 'we got old!!!!' but we just...didn't. so many people lost before they get to 40 - it's heartbreaking.

today/this month, it's 7 years since my friend died. time is wild. i used to celebrate him by drinking a lil whisky and smoking a cig, but age makes losers of us all, so this year i'm going for a run and listening to nothing but neil young and bright eyes. miss you, mk
