Okay so some info about where this is the Capital to: -this is the Capital of the Bertis Empire, the most recently formed empire within this world -their Patron deity is Beolt, the god of Mercantile and Wealth (fairly new deity) - Used to be a prison settlement for Myunlun, the first nation

Okay okay, so one of the most well known dessert civilizations is actually a dwarven holy-nation to the sun goddess, whom they state as being the force of power for the forge. They live in a giant mountain that has been partially hollowed out, and get water from deep underground :)

No basis for this, but I've always thought they would simply refer to them as "the young"? Like "think of our young!" or "We now have our own young" IDK why but that's just my impression

They defend mainly by having groups from each community be drafted. Each province sends whom they see fit and the leader of this area ultimately makes the decision of who to send. They don't have a "standing army" but there is a large emphasis on staying fit for duty, to protect what they have.

The Bertis Empire is the newest nation within the world, starting as a settlement from Myunlun that was mainly a prison settlement for hard labor. They broke off in what they call the "Holy War" where they were liberated by a prophet of Beolt, the god of Mercantile and Wealth

Okay, well there's lots of different nations with different styles of war and fighting forces that have affected their own regions greatly... I'll talk about the Bertis Empire's for this purpose! :D

It was told to Igyer (the god of the End), the partner of Omaea - and he stated he would fulfill the first elf's request for his daughters hand when the first half of the prophecy came true. People have many different assumptions what will bring forth the reign of the end, and act on them in daily

000

Beccas Artistic 🌟 @beccasartistic.bsky.social · 2h

Ooh! I have one though it only kind of applies... so there's a prophecy regarding the death of Omaea (the goddess of the beginning) given from the first elf. He is banned from speaking about it, but because of it he was given the hand of the Goddess of Wisdom Nyena, and why elves don't die from age.

Beccas Artistic 🌟 @beccasartistic.bsky.social · 2h

Yes! But it depends on the region. One that comes to mind is in the city-statr Vorte, they have a gladiatorial tradition where you can earn your freedom if you are imprisoned. There have only been 3 gladiators to ever be granted their freedom - and they are usually exiled afterwards

What if there were a trench in our world that covered 1/5th of the worlds surface, and was said to be where all of the world's deadliest sea creatures were (and maybe a pirate city??). Read more about it here: #worldbuilding#fiction#fantasy#ocean#loreon

Totally get it! I'm happy you've found joy in physical media!!! (When the urge for manga calls.... Yar har har.... ☠️)

Loooooove and live for this trope. My favorite is when a kind character is in a harsh world and chooses to be kind in spite all that is going in but you see it press harder and harder on them as the story progresses :)

I'm probably all four, but I live in a small space so I refuse to get into the absolute cinema that is manga lest my house begins to look like Hoarders: weeb edition

Seconded - I remember hearing the London live action rendition of "Wait for me" (Hadestown musical) and receiving a VIVID flash to a pivotal scene for my story that I hadn't thought of previously. Keep on the lookout!

Wow, I just saw an #inktober drawing (haven't heard that name in years....) I used to adore Inktober, so in honor of it, I'll post one of the very first inktobers I did back in like 2017? 2018? I think? It's reminded me how much I used to adore mermaids 🥺🌊🩵 #mermaid #doodle

Do you have an obsession with #hades? Maybe #hel? Perhaps #anubis? Might I peak your fancy with the Death Goddess Fovera - youngest of the three successor sisters, whom was made the realm of death by her father, The God of the End? She's cool guys I swear #worldbuilding #mythos #fiction #fantasy

I feel like there are two schools of thought: you either love elves for their beauty and refined culture... Or you think they're pretentious twats. If you're in the latter, you might enjoy my fantasy setting and this article on the elven king: substack.com/@loreonworld... #fantasy #worldbuilding
