iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

not my own copy, but i did ask some friends who has xenoblade 2 and they've all said the DLC (digital) were upgraded

Becca Williamson @becca.undertaleplus.com · 20/09/2026

this is the way it works in all of nintendo's first party switch 2 editions. should is just my wording but it absolutely does upgrade the dlc.

Becca Williamson @becca.undertaleplus.com · 20/09/2026

it does! the upgrade also upgrades the DLC, so if you have the Torna DLC it should play that with the improved textures as well

i think periods are very useful for ending sentences or are they called full stops

110

Becca Williamson @becca.undertaleplus.com · 19/04/2026

is it a bit unfortunate that people are making the same jokes again and again? maybe, but thats not really the fault of the game for not setting restrictions. the swears thing notably seems to be an issue with the western internet, i haven't seen nearly as "vulgar" jokes in the japanese community

010

Becca Williamson @becca.undertaleplus.com · 19/04/2026

i get what you mean, but i think this is just one of those things where the internet is always gonna be the internet. the appeal of the 3ds game was seeing your friends and fictional characters, celebrities interact, and i think its always just going to be better among friend groups.

so apparently google gemini thinks the shitpost we made on april fools about "wii menu 5.0" is real. thanks google!

A Google Gemini summary that reads:
"Wii Menu 5.0" refers to a major 2026 update developed by the homebrew community, notably via WiiLink24, aimed at modernizing the 2006 console experience. It introduces Virtual Game Discs, allowing users to access a new library of content beyond the original, now-defunct WiiConnect24 services.

The Susers

Digital art of Susie from Deltarune sitting leaned back with her hands resting on the back of her head, her legs crossed and foreshortened. She is giving a toothy smirk. The background is simply a purple square on a white canvas

i feel like people keep missing the fact that Digital Foundry is supposed to be for enthusiasts, and not just the average person's review channel. like with the analysis on framerates and graphical performance it should be obvious that its aimed at people who care

i feel like "video game journalism bad" is a take that was based solely on some less than stellar writers and the fact that people wont even read video game news before reiterating their stance and its really annoyed me for years

pretty much just: they are stating the most obvious fact that you need internet to download the download version of the game because its on the internet if anything it makes it more confusing but basically its a big fat nothing burger of a statement

100

Becca Williamson @becca.undertaleplus.com · 06/02/2026

if you read carefully, it says you need internet to download the game, THEN mentions the physical release contains a game card. companies sometimes include that disclaimer for some reason but it doesn't mean you need internet to play the physical except activating polish ig

to be fair, we also need to consider that prime 4 only released in december, when a lot of holiday shopping has already finished and probably aren't gonna squeeze another 60 dollar game in there. then again, they did decide to release it then in the first place so, lose-lose either way?
