CM @becauseimapotato.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Sometimes it's weird to remember I actually do like mystery novels but...I just mostly want them in an sff setting now. Anyway the new Freya Marske is incredible. 001
CM @becauseimapotato.bsky.social · 06/09/2026This is a game where everyone feels like shit. Western had an incredible triumph taken away and Michigan has to face that we continue to be butt. 000

CM @becauseimapotato.bsky.social · 04/09/2026One of these days they'll do this quiz without the Devil's Night question and I'll learn that ACTUALLY I talk like I'm from somewhere else. Until then I will continue to talk like everyone around me has always talked. 000
CM @becauseimapotato.bsky.social · 02/09/2026Do I know the story of Heracles? Yes. Did I allow the "it's about kindness!" publicity of Wearing the Lion seduce me into ignoring what I knew? Also yes. Is my heart broken but I have to keep reading both because it's a beautiful story and because nothing heals if you don't keep going? Big yes. 020
CM @becauseimapotato.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Dating apps were a mistake; the real way to meet your partner for life is to make your life goal to be louder than him in an intro lit class, make him translate Communist propaganda, and then get him to send you Facebook messages 3+ years later. 010
CM @becauseimapotato.bsky.social · 27/08/2026I'm really appreciating Daggerbound throwing shade (no pun intended) at Bradford pear trees. Disgusting. 010
CM @becauseimapotato.bsky.social · 26/08/2026In fourth grade social dynamics somehow shifted and I became an object of mockery. A tween volunteering at the library recommended Alanna the First Adventure and I learned that books could let you go somewhere else in your mind. 30+ years later Tortall is still my favorite escape when life sucks. 010

CM @becauseimapotato.bsky.social · 17/08/2026The thing I love about the Ana and Din novels is that they have the world building and character work that adult me wants to read but they are also reminiscent of the gory thrillers of my youth. 010

CM @becauseimapotato.bsky.social · 19/07/2026This makes me think about....idk. A lot, but mostly why I think my mom was kinda brilliant. She did NOT particularly love shopping with us because we slowed her down but there was no other option in the summer. So, she created the One Item system. 100
