On 28-29 September, partners of the #HOPE4Kids project met in Trieste, with our colleague from the Cancer Centre. This 4-year project aims to strengthen and harmonises paediatric palliative care across Europe for children living with life-threatening or life-limiting conditions.

100% of the funds raised through Run to Kick are dedicated to scientific research through the FIGHT KIDS CANCER call. The goal is to develop new treatments, improve existing ones, and make them more effective and less toxic. Ultimately, to kick childhood cancer!

𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝘂𝗽 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. At the symposium on supportive cancer care, organised on 30 June by BeONCOsup (@Sciensano) and ONCO.CARE Brussels, several Belgian initiatives active in supportive oncology care showcased their work.

The symposium concluded with a discussion around the question: "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸-𝘶𝘱 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦?" Participants agreed unanimously: 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹... 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. Time to collaborate, coordinate care and build more personalised, patient-centred care pathways.
