As a producer Kinberg's worked through directoral issues way worse than any of the Lucasfilm operas (FANT4STIC, Singer, DEADPOOL, the Disney buyout), so I have respect for his ability to even get those films done. As a writer... well, DAYS OF FUTURE PAST was wonderful, so he has the potential.......

What a coincidence, I was playing it too the other day! It doesn't get talked about nearly as much as Fortune Street or Dokapon, but it's absolutely in that same pantheon of cool video game board games that barely make it into English and don't release much anymore either.

We need a Happy Video Game Nerd but for movie franchises who ignores discourse and talks about popular media in a loving way without the exhausting present-day melodrama of it all.

It would require cutting out a large amount of the game to fit, but seeing Doku-chan's shining face on a 320x240 display while authentic FM tunes play would be marvellous

Learning that a Youtuber I like will refuse to cover a game without payment is the immediate thing that would get me to unsubscribe. I've seen sponsored videos before from my subscriptions where someone who usually covers retro is now covering an indie game... And it sure makes me concerned

Well, I want to be optimistic that that won't happen. I also think that mobile and PC/console are shifting ever closer together so that distinction may not matter as much once the bubble bursts and the market eventually recovers.

I'm optimistic that even if AAA collapses, we can return to that hallowed pre-2010s era when there can actually be dozens of mid-size publishers and modest developers with 10-50 people releasing 2 smallish games a year. A world with five AAA publishers and everyone else is super tiny indie is sad
