Sent my kid to the shop for loo roll. I wrote the brand and then (4) so he'd know to get a four-pack. He came home with four packs of nine rolls each. They won't go to waste in this IBD household but am set for a while! (Tbf, I could have been clearer) #parenting #speirgorm

I was with a medical professional recently about my, sadly, very restricted diet cos of current Crohn's flare and she asked me what I like for a treat and I said I often have an individual pot of custard cos it's liquid and goes through well and she goes 'oh that's FULL of sugar'. Yes I knew that about grapefruit juice, particularly for contraceptives, but I just hadn't thought about the OJ and the bisop. Usually you hear about taking your vitamins WITH OJ cos it helps absorption of iron and stuff, I didn't think about the converse!

You probably already know this - I'm usually 3 - 5 business years behind everyone else - but if you take a beta blocker like Bisop, you shouldn't take it with orange juice in the morning, affects the absorption. Wait two hours to have the OJ. There you go now! #speirgorm

I even double checked for my kid before school, because yesterday the wind was so strong he nearly came off the bike so today I checked it and told him 'ah no it's to be grand today, the odd shower later' and sent him off. If this keeps up he'll be drowned getting home!

This is why it's not 'just football.' 'Politics has no place in sport' is a really convenient line if you're actively engaging in genocide and would rather the world didn't discuss it. Israel are well aware of the power of sportswashing. They're usually just too shit to take advantage of it.

The leadership of the Israel team used their press conference to read a statement congratulating Ireland on their decision to play. “What we have seen today is that football has won,” it read. “The separation between football and politics must continue. Anything else spells chaos and creates consequences for the game we love. The Irish took the right decision in agreeing to this. Even if it took longer than it should, it was welcome.”

Exactly this. It isn't the wrong word, it's the textbook definition and has been accepted by the ICJ and the UN like. He said it and he should stand over it. He came across as weak. He's not Irish but as the Ireland manager he should have picked up how strongly the people feel about this.

I do think the FAI should have backed out of this match months ago and taken a stand, I don't think it should be up to the players. But after hearing that press conference I'm starting to think we need the players to take a stand here. It's not fair but neither is genocide. #StopTheGame
