Meet Taylor Cunningham, our new Grants Program Manager! Originally from the East Coast, Taylor got her start as a folklore student at the U of Maine, where she spent her summers collecting outlaw stories from the backwoods and islands of rural Maine. We’re so excited to have Taylor on the team.

In late April, the Bears Ears Education Center (BEEC) in Bluff hosted our first-ever Indigenous Artisan Market, with a second market in May, offering a valuable platform for Indigenous artists to connect with each other and the wider community and share and sell their intentional creations.

Our Dark Sky Week kicked off last night with Dark Sky Ambassador training at the Bluff Community Center. Ambassadors learned how to operate telescopes, identify constellations, and conduct seasonal light monitoring. Anyone can become a Dark Sky Ambassador – all you need is curiosity for dark skies.
