Sons of Horus cheiftans using the new raider sprue. they're definitely a lot more physically imposing than a lot of the heresy sized models, but that works well for an "elite of the elite" bodyguard unit. still got a couple bits to throw on #warhammercommunity #horusheresy #sonsofhorus

MKIII heads work really nicely on the terminators imo. I tried out the breacher helmets too, haven't pictured them but I think they look a little heavier and suit the overall armour better

also, been flip flopping between a lot of different metallics. current choice is canoptek alloy shaded with darkoath and then more canoptek to highlight, but still not 100% settled. previous choice was brass scorpion which is too saturated I think

DAY 2: Still playing around with colours, but I'm pretty happy with the green. Need to figure out what colour to shade with, I've done a little on kneepads and feet to test but I'm still not sure. I think it looks a little flat and dusty. Next step is nuln, tried coelia greeenshade and poxwalker

handmade mostly. the cobbles are from a rolling pin, GSW I think but I don't buy their stuff any more. individual cobbles around the grate are hand made, grate is from the boarding actions base box the canal is a lot more complex and mainly made from recycled packing material

for the deathrattles, I did a mechanicus standard grey undercoat with a wraithbone zenithal, which makes a big difference for hordes contrast on everything, then a quick wash good bases go a long way as well
