Nobody wants to read a 200-page explanation of why Liz Truss wasn't responsible for Liz Truss's decisions. Particularly when we’re still spending an extra £400 a month on the mortgage. We’ve already paid enough for her economic theories. Off she fucks.

False alarm, everyone! Sharron Davies has now confirmed that she was being “ironic.” What we mistook for a genuinely terrible political argument was actually a deliberately terrible political argument.

I, too, am absolutely furious that Andy Burnham hasn't marched straight into Paris, seized control of the French government and personally extinguished every burning car. Instead, the selfish bastard is governing the United Kingdom. Disgraceful.

As far as campaign strategies go, I’m not sure “if you vote for me inevitably riots will follow” is quite the winner that Lowe thinks it is.

As a side note to this, there is zero cultural reason this Christmas Market is being “axed”. Quite: “In a statement they also noted that the event was becoming financially and operationally unviable.” None of which gave any pause whatsoever to the mouthbreathers inhabiting the bowels of X.

I’m sorry, but how in the actual fuck are we already on “they’re cancelling Christmas” in the middle of October?! Poppy-rage season has barely begun, and Mariah Carey isn’t even half thawed out. This is just silly.

You know it’s bad when even the bloviating sack of lies that was our Prime Minister becomes a sensible voice in a conversation.

Buy a small family home, no more than three bedrooms, for around 4 times my annual salary and not live in constant worry about the cost of shelter. That’s it. That’s the dream.

Reform UK took one look at GB News and decided that what it really needed was less subtlety. We’re about to discover previously unimagined quantities of the phrase “BREAKING: NIGEL FARAGE ABSOLUTELY DESTROYS…”

It took us ten years to get to the point where we could even think of booking a show in the Royal Albert Hall. Since getting here, it was always a bucket listy thing. Tonight, on arrival, we got upgraded from right at the top to a Grand Tier Box. I am an extremely lucky and grateful bear.

The pension conversation has turned, yet again, into Netflix and avocados. A quick thing though. Netflix: £20.99pm / £251.88pa Avo: 0.69p an avo - so £251pa if you had an avo every day. So, just over £500 a year Average 10% deposit? £27,300. So just 54 years to save there FFS.

Oh look, another award for London. Someone might want to pass this on to Reform’s mayoral candidate, Laila Cunningham. Perhaps she could dial back the relentless shitting on the city I live in by, say, 5%.

London is, by all accounts very expensive - but I do have questions about who exactly are the people having three Sambuca shots at 16:00 in the afternoon. There is not enough omeprazole in the world that would allow me to do that.

Bad news, everyone - Brexit has apparently caused the entire United Kingdom to detach from Europe and drift several thousand miles west. We are now slowly approaching Newfoundland. Can someone please let Eurostar now there might be some issues.

I feel like The Mayor of Bayswater and I are having two different conversations. On the plus side, there is a council somewhere that’s going to get a very confusing request for information about the acceptable levels of domination from the local oaks.

I can attest to this. Having not been to an LGBTQ space in several months, I’ve developed an overwhelming urge to start dating women again, buy a pressure washer, and call it “an absolute game changer.”

Keeping in mind that the American Government has a somewhat unfortunate tendency to lie, deceive and distort, I’m not sure this is the win that Jenrick thinks it is. Also, Fairford. Imaging having an immigrant have to correct you on your spelling.

Oakeshott has joined the chat. I’m assuming that there will now be requests for the Domesday book to be brought out for a search. I can’t imagine what she’s going to do when she realises they’re out on bail.

Well, well, well - if it isn’t the consequences of our own actions. It would appear that migrants are not, in fact, the fiscal drain we’ve been told they are by years if we go by the £4bn to £6.5bn shortfall that’s been caused by the precipitous drop in numbers under this government. Funny that.

A few people have pointed out that the same would be true about Rocky Horror Picture Show, David Bowie and Queen. The levels of vitriol would be off the charts - as a more recent example, just look at how Sam Smith gets treated by the commentariat on the right.

If there is any doubt that LGBTQ rights have backslid, all you have to do is compare the reactions to Conchita Wurst winning Eurovision in 2014 to the absolute fucking hysteria that would greet the exact same performance today.

Still think this is a good idea, tbh - I’m still shocked by the number of empty flats in the new builds around Vauxhall that were purchased as investments. Those flats would be perfect for young people starting out - and would do far more for the country than a nice big return on investment.

John’s day seems to keep getting worse, and he is firmly refusing to be lekker. Also, what in the actual fuck would a “gimp quotient” be?! (Yes, I know he’s a troll and I should ignore him, but I’m having the best time imagining him hyperventilating over his keyboard).

So, with the full knowledge I might be opening the proverbial can here - does anyone else fancy up their baked beans for baked beans on toast? Tonight’s version was a bit of chorizo, onions, peppers, chipotle paste, tomato paste, a helluva lot of black pepper topped with spring onions. 🐻

It was never about immigration and only ever about big standard, pedestrian racism. They tried to use pretty words spoken by “academics”, but in the end, it’s nothing more than 1970s bigotry, plain and simple.
