I am currently in Manchester. I don’t know the city but there’s an insane number of people selling cups of corn kernels topped with butter in the main shopping area. Either Mancunians love it or it’s the equivalent of American Candy shops in London. Judging by the few customers, the latter.

There’s an argument I’ve heard that when you have to negotiate a salary, women don’t negotiate and take the offer and men do ask for more. I’ve tried negotiating and found that the employer won’t negotiate because everyone at a certain grade gets the same. That’s how to do, I guess. Grade roles.
