I produced this under a ton of pressure so I went and checked my process from start to finish. I did use ChatGPT for research on this script and watching it I definitely get an Al feel, so I think it's fair to say I was relying too much on generated notes. That's a thing I've been doing and it's a bad habit at a time when I've overcommitted myself.
But I just went to the notes and the script for this and neither contain the "I appreciate the pushback" line, so that particular moment was an ad lib in reference to my guest pushing back on me saying that words are purely made up.

Did you know that many saxophones come with built-in piercing tools? They're sharp enough to penetrate the toughest of hands, but sturdy enough to not bend under the pressure, which might cause them to not sink as deep as they otherwise could. And sometimes, they also serve as key springs!

The low E♭/low C section of an alto saxophone with those keys removed. The low E♭ key guard is also removed, exposing a gunked-up tone hole. The two posts on which the keys would sit have their blue steel needle springs exposed, which really are just sturdy, sharp needles of blue steel. Out of focus in the background are the removed parts, a handheld butane torch, and a somewhat messy workbench.

Pegboard is wonderful. Couldn't do my job without it:

All three of my cats have now had their first Congress meeting, due to it being too warm to close my bedroom door to keep them out. Felicia is VERY upset with the administration for withholding global health funding. Or she just wanted belly rubs. It's impossible to say.

Supernumerary rainbows!!! Autem, ICE delenda est.

A double rainbow all the way across the sky. Zooming in on the main rainbow reveals supernumerary bands, or repeated bands of rainbow concentrically inside the main bow, fading out with each repetition, almost like an infinity mirror effect.

A nearly identical photo of the rainbow, but edited to make the supernumerary bands more visible. As a result, the colors all look darker and more saturated than real life.
