Giving an indie game a "thumbs down" negative review is LITERALLY a punishment. In many cases due to how the Steam algorithm works, it is a capital one. If a game just wasn't for you, or you have some feedback, please just post on the forums! Save the "thumbs down" for AI slop and other offenses.

If you set the aspect ratio, you can get the camera to use the whole width is what I mean! You can adjust the FOV setting too if it helps! Yes, tons of upgrades very quickly including collection speed and range - the idea though is it's more a 'highlight' at the start than standing there waiting :)

Glad it's working OK for you! That tutorial box is that way because otherwise it ends up extending upwards and blocking the character view which would I think be worse, especially on the default scaling. It looks like you can adjust the aspect ratio to better fit your screen, by the way!

Yeah screw the anti-woke stuff, I'm purely talking about from a monetisation perspective. Enshittification inevitably follows. Basic stuff will get locked behind /at the least/ having an account I imagine, and it'll become more like the 'more serious' industry analysis sites.

It can get really pretty huge, but it's scaling on the UI panels themselves sadly so depending on your screen resolution they will overlap! It's sadly less than perfect, I will be making a much less UI heavy game next...

Prototyping THREE new games at the same time right now. It’s incredibly fun. They might not turn into anything but it’s so wonderful to have the studio runway to be able to spend time in this phase, while being able to be a dad whenever I need to be during the workday. Really thankful.

I did this too for my recent launch and one of the pirates actually interviewed me for a Russian online games website afterwards (he had since bought the game) and it was 100% the right way to go. Always better to lean into it.
