If Project Hail Mary doesn't win an Oscar for sound design, there's no reason to ever hold awards again because it's 100% BS. I have not seen sound play such an integral part of a film in decades. Probably not since Jurassic Park. It does more than just enhance the movie. It helps tell the story.

One of the things I love about rewatching exceptional films is the details you pick up on subsequent viewings. The break in the patrova line reflection on his face!!! Only the best filmmakers do shit like that.

Just got back from my best friend's wedding in Italy. It was a 4 day, 3 night extravaganza in the Tuscan hills at a 1,000-year-old castle. Here's a taste of the reception. So much fun.

Next stop on the Italy tour is starting off with the realization of a childhood dream. The room may have been expensive, but when you consider I've wanted to go to Venice and get a room on a canal since I was about 7, it's a really small price to pay... (Even the shoulder pain can't ruin this!)
