Valid point. My first reaction was also: you stand out like a sore thumb - but if everyone does it? 😎🤗

Happy I left Spotify last year, one less scam to deal with 🙄

Exactly. More available time. I quit Facebook six months or so ago. I've read a little more (3-4 books), checked more things off my to-do list. I have to work harder to stay in touch with people and find out about events - but hey, I survived before 'social' media.

I still laugh when I see someone driving a Cyber truck. What were you thinking 😁🫣

I've always been able to buy a small second-hand car in cash, but with a limited income and the price of even those cars gone up disproportionately, I took out a 3-year loan to spread payments. I definitely paid more than it was worth this way, but that's called interest on borrowed money.

#xpnCountdown Matthew Sweet & Susanna's cover albums Under The Covers are brilliant 🩷🤍🩷

#xpnCountdown nice version of Never Tear Us Apart. Dylan LeBlanc: wasn't on my radar.

Uh, nooooo! Plenty of GD in the 885 countdown. 🤪

@kristenkurtis.bsky.social #xpnCountdown "quirky & bizarre (if that was the word)" - I object! The 885 top was mostly obvious. The 6000 are mostly my jam!.(I got 4/10 - no sour grapes!) - Lieve

#xpnCountdown looking for a 4000 cover playlist? Previously on Spotify (canceled for political reasons) now split in two on QoBuz --> open.qobuz.com/playlist/411...

Other programs were also throwing in covers outside the 'official' hours. It annoyed me because I kept thinking - keep those for the Countdown!! They should include more now I only got 4/10 😄

#xpnCountdown Good morning! Grant has a great cover album. This alternative countdown should be much more to my taste - I feel it already!! 😄

Robert Wyatt - Shipbuilding (Elvis Costello) Scott Walker - if you go away (Jacques Brel) Martin Gore - In a manner of speaking (Tuxedomoon) David Bowie - Amsterdam (J Brel) Everything but the Girl - The only living boy in New York (Simon & Garfunkel) Billy Mackenzie - Wild is the Wind (J Matthis)

No imo - it's a performance of a man at the end of his life, maturing in something much more with time... This song is raw, such a big step away from anything he did before - a last flicker before the end. Ahhhh

I knew him but wasn't a fan - but with this album: respect!!!

#xpnCountdown summer of 1978 - I barely remember it - the whole Van Halen first album on VERY high rotation. I recently bought it on CD again so I could blast it in my car - yeah!!!
