For context my carrier sends you texts from the number if you get a missed call from them. Which causes messages to leave blue bubbles and switch to green

The face that Apple doesn’t let you force iMessage back to iMessage via email if you get a text from some is fucking wild. iMessage won’t register my phone number for some reason so i have to use other means of iMessage communication.

What is that friction you may ask? They could require you to use a specific app. The syncing via CalDAV and CardDav just break. They require weird deep manual setup that is fragile.

All of the not Google email services I've tried and use put so much friction on front of syncing contacts and calendar to devices that it makes me want to give it all up and just use Google again.
