Isn't the real (supposed) issue here not merely that humans don't understand how the chemicals work (common in medicine), but rather that the AI (somehow) "exploit[ed] a weakness in the trial process"? Isn't the suggestion that the trial cannot be trusted because the AI may be "misaligned"?

To me this is the most outrageous regime atrocity since the CECOT renditions and the ICE murders in Minnesota. I am FURIOUS. Might the fuel crisis just be a thin pretext for Trump's openly aligning the US with Russia? When Ukraine continues to target energy infrastructure, Trump will halt intelligence sharing and, more critically, have Musk cut off Starlink access. I don't see this as humiliating for Trump.
