Health insurance in America started as a nonprofit system, created to keep hospitals open and families healthy, not to enrich shareholders. Over time, politicians allowed corporate insurers to take over, turning healthcare into a profit center instead of a public good.

NEWS: Colin and Sophie Hortman, the children of Mark and Melissa Hortman, released statements after Trump reposted false claims about their parents’ deaths. Sophie Hortman urged Trump to remove the post, saying, “I ask President Trump to please consider the pain and sadness we have faced.”
