It’s stunning how badly all the other outlets soft-pedaled the body-cam footage, missing virtually every important detail in their stories about the it. Now that it has been ruled a homicide, I hope other outlets pay better attention. Grateful to be able to cover this for the Beat.

Absolutely dangerous and insane that we're letting this happen. The courts letting Trump do this in L.A. in response to minor unrest -- and where Marines are *still* activated -- has emboldened him to do it everywhere. This is a clear, unambiguous breach of a founding democratic principle.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE. This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined. It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

I just don’t get why something called “no kings” would have the vast majority of people sit and listen with no way to participate other than their signs—and no one but other people at “protest” to see them. It feels like a free concert you can’t hear in the park. But what does this do?
