So let's get this Strait 😉 Trump wants us to help secure something that was secure before and then he made it insecure and somehow it could be real bad for us if we don't secure it.

Kemi Badenoch trying to cement her place in history as the last ever leader of the Conservative Party. You go girl, at least Trump and Garage will remember you, although they won't know why.

Could someone perhaps explain? My latest electricity statement shows that I am in credit to the tune of just over £200 yet British Gas have just informed me that my monthly bill will rise by £9. Guess you've gotta increase those profits boys. #britishgas #ripoff

So here's my question. Why can't the US defend the Arctic region from Northern Alaska which is closer to both Russia and China and is already part of the US? Or is it not really about defence.

Finally deactivated my X accounts and deleted the app. I feel so much better.

Harrington Street Parking, will it still be a thing? I usually end up parking on Harrington Street but will it be full of coaches for the ManYoo fans (sic)?

Right so if I'm reading the stats right from the BBC Sport website we're murdering them but haven't scored. It's Town at Harrogate I'm guessing they'll win 1 - 0 with a freaky 89th minute own goal.

The situation at @morecambefc.bsky.social is awful but it's not only affecting Morecambe. #BostonUnited had a season opener at home against a side relegated from the league postponed, that's revenue they are not going to be able to recapture and at that level that could be crucial.

I don't like pre-season games but I usually go to Boston with my daughter because she lives that way on. I have tickets for that. My question is should I go to BP tonight for the Lincoln game?

The BBC has put a list up of countries that allow 16/17 year olds to vote. One of the countries was North Korea. Just letting that sink in #votingage

My idea for beating King Donald and his tariffs. We should not introduce counter tariffs, instead we should boycott as many US products and services as possible. Secondly, if you are visiting the US do not tip. Why should we make up the wages of people in the US whilst they threaten our livelihoods.

Mark Dillerstone @bawbarmy.bsky.social · 01/04/2025

The people that really pay the tariffs are the consumers aren't they? A 200% tariff on eggs means the foreign egg supplier charges the same price, the egg importer pays the tariffs and then charges the consumer the new inflated price. Only hurts the producer if consumers don't buy eggs. I think.

So there was this group that blabbed about attacking the Houthis and then went on about bailing out Europe. Surely they were attacking the Houthis because they fired rockets at Israel. Israel is not in Europe. So it's not our fucking problem. Bail yourselves out. Idiots!

Why the hell is it asking me to find accounts to follow. Surely they would end up in my feeds. Sort it BlueSky or I'll just go back to being one of Elons moronic mongs

Well I might have to go back to X. My BlueSky Discover feed is constantly telling me it's empty.

Should be fun watching two heavyweights slug it out over tariffs between USA and Canada. One has a PhD in Economics from Oxford and the other is Orange.

So I think we should do what Trump wants. Disband NATO. It serves no purpose. The US wants Europeans to protect Europe. There is a price though. All US bases and facilities in Europe to be reclaimed and Europeans to buy no arms or technology from the US.

For purely selfish reasons I'm hoping the #gtfc game is called off as I'm full of flu and wouldn't be able to attend.

I seem to have upset the Nigel_Farage fan club - so let me be clear. This man sows hate, lies and division. He is a grifter and a conman. He does not represent the vast majority of Britons. RT if you agree P.s. multiculturalism is great.

Am I being particularly stupid here, but foreign donations to a political party? Why? unless it's to gain influence. An influence that, most probably, will not be in the interest of the citizens of that country.

Water bills to rise over 31% to cover 'necessary' investment. Surely the 'investment' should come from the shareholders, aren't shareholders investors? expect there will be no reduction in profits. Use profits to fund investment, not billpayers. #investmentnotdividends
