It’s amazing how easy it is these days to build a custom flow for over-the-air updates. Just take the useUpdates hook from Expo Updates and wrap a nice little UI around it. Smooth banner → update check → ready state → tap → reload. Awesome, isn't it?

I think this really shows off one of React Native’s big strengths. You can use native elements and get the latest shiny features almost for free, but if it doesn’t work with your app or UI, you can easily opt out. Compared to native iOS, where it often feels like you don’t have much of a choice.
