Here's an older satellite image of the pool. It's from late 2022/early 2023. I think there might also have been a tarp over it, but the tarp was filled with green slime and grass. EWWWWWWWWWWWW! I wonder what the inside of their house looks like! #SubparNeighbor

In the past he hasn't maintained his pool and it was dark green and had grass growing in it. This image shows the pool after he had the nasty taken out, but he's not big on keeping it swimmable. You can also see the junk behind the pool and in the driveway.

That's a pretty big rat! My neighbor on that side has a garage filled top-to-bottom/side-to-side with boxes of stuff plus a storage pod in the driveway that's also stuffed. He also has stuff stored behind his house, on front porch, and in the driveway.

I found this cute little #HalloweenDecoration at the grocery this morning. I can't tell if it's an owl or a bat. Kinda looks like an owl but has wings like a bat. Oh, and ears like a cat. I think I'm going to call it a Bowel.

Yesterday was #BlackCatAppreciation day, but I was out all day so I didn't post. Here are 2 of the black cats I've had over my lifetime. I was born on Halloween so it's kind of a requirement to have a black cat. Ramie and Velvet. I don't have any good photos of Satin or Silky (pre-digital cameras).

Well, dangit. Apparently the lawn mowing people knocked a brick loose yesterday when they cut the yard. I think liquid nails will fix it, but that means a trip to the store. Where there are people. Yuk.

I got the wheel modules to replace the worn out ones on my #Roomba. Wow, what a difference. I had to get from a non-iRobot vendor since i-Robot only had the left side available.

This was the PO parking lot recently. All that space is normally open for customer parking. They have "we're hiring" signs all over the place, so I think they're short staffed right now.

I don't know if this is a good sign or not, but my mail was delivered at 11:38 PM. Good sign -- they're dedicated to get all the mail delivered for that day. Bad sign - they're so understaffed that they have to resort to delivering mail in the middle of the night. #USPS

I've been seeing this cat in my yard for years (photo from ring camera). I've witnessed it catching chipmunks & squirrels, & it probably gets birds too. It looks pretty good size for a stray. Yesterday it was on my front porch & I got a good close up view. It's ear is tipped, so likely feral.

I spent 3 summers as a teen staying in a rental house across the street from this library. I would walk across the street, go in, get some books, then go to the park across the street and sit and read all afternoon.

A public library with a park to the left of it. The building is white with stone steps leading to the front door. There used to be big lions on the sides of the steps. They have disappeared some time in the last 50 years. There are some cars parked along the street in front of the library.

Overall I spent $455 to have my front and back flower beds weeded and new mulch spread. You only see a small part of the flower beds in the photos. #HiringPeople

I posted in FB "What's happening in ___" group for help with weeding, specifically asking for youth. I got a reply and a 9 year old girl and her dad came to help. The dad did more work than the kid, but they did a great job. I paid them $50 (the beds go all the way across the front of the house).

I don't know how clear it is (I adjusted the contrast, etc.), but some of the seed heads on this clump of Dallas grass in my lawn are over a meter high. It's been 4 weeks since my yard has been mowed. Tomorrow's the last unrainy day for at least a week. Mower guy better show up!

There is rain forecast starting tomorrow for at least the next 7-8 days. So the grass will get even longer and the weeds reseed themselves everywhere. The weeds are Dallas grass which is really hard to get rid of. #NeedNewLawnGuy
