One thing that caught my attention while reading through Dungeon Crawler Carl were the joke descriptions and achievements given by the AI. In any other context, these would be seen as, dare I say, reddit-tier humor. But here, they really sell how uncaring the system is.

I'm halfway through Dungeon Crawler Carl So far, I'm really impressed. Any way this could've been another dime a dozen isekai story is circumvented. Despite how irreverent it can be at times, it never stops to remind you that this is a horror story, and real lives are being lost at every moment.
