Does anyone have access to a copy of The Territorial Divisions 1914-1918 by J Stirling published in 1922 by any chance?

That was then. As Ukraine will tell you, today’s reality is vastly different. Sadly the USA is no longer a reliable partner. (And just for sending this post I can rule out any chance of entering America in the near future as a tourist. 😉😎)

I just finished recording with @battleguide.bsky.social on the fascinating evolution of historical military maps. We talked about: "How digitizing trench maps can bring history to life and enhance our understanding of the battlefields." Thanks Dudley Giles, for a great discussion

Every year on 11 November Lincoln and North Lincolnshire Branch of the WFA remember the Fallen at one of the most unusual locations for a FWW Memorial I’ve ever visited. Thorpe le Fallows placed their memorial on the site of an ancient church… in a field way off the beaten track. #Resurgam

Sound on. A T-26 tank at the Winter War Museum near Suomussalmi Finland. (Please do not reveal its current location to the Russians - given their current situation they may try to reclaim it and press it into service in the Ukraine.) 😉😎

All I wanted to be was a fireman and then they told me that I had to play the bugle as well…. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The problem with doing back-2-back tours is the amount of kit I kid myself into believing I need to take with me! Especially when the first tour covers so many different battlefields. Week1 #Normandy #Somme #Vimy #Ypres #Scheldt #Veritable #Blockbuster. Week 2 #WinterWar #Finland

I could have researched and written a proper book in the time I've spent on this! I've had a look at the competition and I may have gone a bit too far, but hopefully it'll stand out from the crowd!

As always, I'm pretty late to the party and currently in the corner marked "Billy, no mates". Still trying to work out how this platform works but I will get there eventually. I suppose I ought to start with the profile 😉😎
