The holding brake is the most evil of roller coaster elements. This is Hangtime at Knott's Berry Farm. Evil. As the name implies, the brake just holds you there at the top of the descent, feeling like you've got to hold on for dear life. It's a belt & lap restraint so there's not much to hold onto.

Prep stuff for tomorrow. Doing cucumber sandwiches, but with rice instead of bread. So, onigiri, though probably leaning more towards onigirazu. Slice up cucumber, sweat it out, chop it up, add it to this, then surround it in rice. No seaweed wrapper though. How will it turn out? Tune in tomorrow! 🍙

Ride delay wasn't bad, but you know what isn't bad? Roller coasters. Fucking awesome, really.

Driving around a lot, and ya know, Waze (GPS app) kinda sucks. The popups for traffic and for a car on the shoulder, &c. are more a distraction than anything else & It wants me to interact with a screen tap while *driving*. No. Go away. It likes to direct me to random side streets too. Why for? Bah!

At my hotel. Ow I ache. But I had a great time. Fast & The Furious was the longest I waited at ~ 1.5 hrs. 18 minutes & 36 seconds is the longest I waited for a house. Incredible! Thanks for the heads up about the 2 pm ticket, @xfullofstarsx.bsky.social! You're consistently the best!

Me being tired and achy. In my yellow Exit 8 shirt which got me a few compliments, and my fuzzy Wolf Man ears.

Did Dead Deader Deadest, but did not have a good run. Also did the Mario Kart ride. Yup. That is a thing I did. I've reached my physical limit. No Ozzy, Killer Klowns, Stranger Things (no loss), & Terror Tram. But I did a lot & had a good time. Much better all around than the last time I did this.

I have about 20 minutes before Killceañera opens. Will mention that I only waited 5 minutes for Sinners which was incredible! In the location where the unnecessary The Walking Dead year round house was. 15 minutes for Evil Dead Burn which I got a kick out of. Lovely burning smell throughout.

Waited 10.5 minutes after getting to the location of the Hellraiser and Evil Dead Burn houses. First up was Hellraiser which was super tasty. I did indeed have such sights shown to me.

That was really fun! I waited about 1.5 hrs and my legs aren't too bad. Some minor ache. I'm sure it's gonna get worse. I have to think about what houses I'm OK with missing - I don't have Express because $205 for once per ride (this ride not included) & house is obscene.

The one that scared me, but I kept coming back to was The Secret of NIMH, particularly The Great Owl. The one that scared me out of the theater, was the musical version of Little Shop Of Horrors. Audrey II, & during "Dentist!" when the shot is from inside the mouth.
