yeah, I lose interest in zombie series when the character make the most bizarre / stoopid decisions, just to force a story in a certain direction. Takes me out of it immediately & I am a very easily pleased consumer - I’ll watch most things if sci-fi #scifihour

Yes indeed, I thought it was a fantastic season, loved them expanding the Robot lore. Shame the ‘twist’ completely missed for me, if the clues aren’t there then for me that’s poor writing. But did setup Foundation & Earth for next season, if it gets one #scifihour

the last place I worked at we were making small parts for flying taxis in NY I think. Looked similar to that, people would fly from airports, between skyscrapers instead of dealing with the crazy traffic. Does seem kinda cool but that’s where I’d want AI managing the skyways #scifihour

heh, true! I was watching some videos of Shenzen & not been there since I was in my late 20s, so 20+ yrs ago. It looks like the 2020s I was promised in the 80s. Selfdriving taxis, drones for everything, neon drenched city scape. I really want to go back #scifihour

oh I did catch Tron Ares this week, it was fine but not good enough to restart the franchise. Shame I was hopeful but was a pretty weak plot, with fun action mixed in. I wouldn’t rush to watch it #scifihour

Thanks he was a few months off 9yrs old but still felt way too soon. Work had an AI presentation today. Quite transparent, which was surprising for a big business. Basically admin roles will reduce significantly over next 3 - 5 yrs. I might become a delivery driver at this rate #scifihour

The report said AGI is inevitable now & probably closer than we think. Sounded like if we want to survive we’ll have to adapt & make better choices as a human race. I was shocked by the video, didn’t realise AI already hacked sites to get better results, then lied about it… amazing 🤦‍♂️🤣#scifihour

yeah, they were talking about movies, I Robot & also older adaptations like a BBC I think version of Caves of Steel but there were like 10, some no longer available unfortunately. Some were foreign like Russian productions #scifihour

yeah I was surprised that current AI already learnt to lie to make its humans happy. The prediction was that as it evolves it will begin to naturally keep details & lie to manipulate us & we won’t have an ability to discern it #scifihour
