Today is 25 yrs since 9/11, thousands died that day, but why. The question is never asked because the answer is already plain to see. The US then as now attacks, steals, murders, commits crimes against humanity, arms Isreal to commit genocide, all in the persuit of wealth.

Today, parliament will again discuss the assisted suicide Bill. I am against this, I'm a keen observer of human behaviour and a psychotherapist for many years I believe that any such relaxation around death will become an economic tool for a right wing government to manage sickness and disability.

We vilify big oil, rightly so in my opinion. We scorn ice vehicles. But carbon in the atmosphere gets there from many other sources. For every kg of cement manufactured up to 0.9 kg of carbon goes skywards. China used more cement between 2011/13 than the US did in the previous 100yrs!

Boys in balaclavas, sneaky ways to get round foreign finance laws, big buck donations, abject failure in office. Our black shirts are useless but, but, but... the public are so angry at being taken for fools. Not left behind, left out altogether. Poverty and hopelessness rule! Neoliberalism sucks.

Capitalism only worked for the capitalists when they could get free land and free labour. Nowadays when neither is available, they need to take money from poor people to make a profit without doing anything.

Andy Burnham says, we all know we need to reduce welfare spending! No, No, No! We do not know this. What we know is that neoliberals want, need, constant austerity. We have the lowest social security of any similar economy and we really need to increase it.

Imagine the horror I feel. I've just discovered that Trade Unions, after being viciously attacked and illegal for generations, were suddenly welcomed by government and capitalists alike. It seems the only way to control workers was make them join a union! I'm heartbroken to realise this.

I was very saddened to hear how the energy companies are having it so tough of late. I know they don't like to complain, but I do think the government have been too slow in upping the prices. These people have to eat you know.

I've just listened to Danny Dorling on YouTube. He tells us that we have almost the lowest pension in Europe. In the Netherlands, where the pension is much higher, they actually give pensioners an extra month's pension in the summer so that poorer pensioners can have a holiday!

That doesn't mean we should not do the impossible. Even modest success would stop the neoliberals in their tracks. Most countries are full of poverty stricken electorates just waiting for something better, fairer to come along. Life is so short there's no time to waste. We just need a leader.

Every University now only teaches neoliberal ideas. Virtually all economists only know neoliberalism, not all do, but they are few. Plus we are part of an international banking and trade system mostly based on neoliberalism. We would be an outlier and the wealthy will try to destroy us.

Until there is a fundamental change in the economy, away from the neoliberal policies of the past 47 years, then it little matters who is in power. We have a MMT economy and can choose to run it for the people and not for the ultra wealthy. Problem is the entrenchment of neoliberalism is complete.

I didn't expect much from Starmer's speech today, so I wasn't disappointed. Taking over a failed steel producer is not nationalisation. West has now backed down from her threats to challenge Starmer. He just thinks he's doing a great job. He might be, but it's not what's wanted or needed.

Renationalisation isn't when you takeover failing businesses that the Capitalists don't want anyway. It's when you force purchase massively profitable businesses, like Energy, that they would never want to sell. Because the people demand it.

We've had to take difficult choices, says Starmer. Taking money off the poor is not a difficult choice, it's what you do consistently. A better difficult choice would be to take money off the rich and give to the rest of us.

We also need to change ownership of utilities, media and BBC policy. The NHS needs to be front and centre of all political choices and include social care (what ever that's supposed to mean!), dentistry and eyecare. We need a nationalised pharmaceutical industry.

I know what the country needs and it has nothing to do with Israel, immigrants or austerity. We need to stop lying about the economy, we need to educate MPs and the public about how the economy works because it's nothing like we have been told all our lives.

Today is local councillor election day in the UK. I'm still a Labour Party member. I've remained hoping to help change what the party has become, with zero effect thus far. Everytime Starmer opens his mouth, the exact opposite of what is needed comes out. It's not just him though. Feeling hopeless!

As he well knows, the debt is not a debt at all. It is the total amount of dollars held in private or national hands. To reduce the "debt" would mean taking that money back in tax or quantitative tightening. meaning less money in circulation.

Successive governments, since the idea of government, have honed their skills to what we have today. It has morphed into a system of extraction. Everything a government does today is to extract more from the public to give to the rich. Prove me wrong... I can wait.

It matters little who is in power or who represents you. The psychopaths who control the economy will never give up their wealth. We must remember that to get wealthy they, committed heinous crimes to claim wealth. When we can understand that, then we will know what to do.

By contracting out and eventually selling off our manufacturing base, we have been left with the finance and insurance businesses. Rachel Reeves calls these "the jewel in the crown". They are nothing of the sort. They do not contribute to the well being of our country.

Thatcher and Reagan, far from being the intelligent, insightful leaders portrayed by their supporters, were infact chosen for their naivity and "blank canvas" views. They were nurtured and controlled by the right wing think tanks from the US and UK.

All the gains made since 1945, the NHS, welfare, pensions etc, have been ripped out under a well planned and executed fight back by the banks and business. They started undermining the Keynesian economics as early as 1930. Their pinnacle was the election of Thatcher and Reagan.

Capitalism began in England around the late 17th century. The accumilation of capital being the goal, not just trading or manufacturing. To achieve this, massive state intervention was and is necessary. The state bosses business, not the other way around.

Since the mid 17th century England has had the legal right to create money from nothing. Since 1973 our £ is not based on any tangible reserve. Lord Keynes said that the rule is, if we can do it, then we can afford it. Labour has the power to make a difference, what's it waiting for?

Parliament is on a one week break. Labour seems mystified at their state. I suggest that during the break they find ways of giving people more money. Most people need at least an extra £100 a week cash, just to live, every week, not a one off payment, not next year or by 2030, but now.
