A group of WOMEN running a WOMEN’S-ONLY sports league has to hold a meeting with other WOMEN to decide what a WOMAN is, so they can determine if I qualify as a WOMAN and eligible to compete against WOMEN in a league created specifically for WOMEN. I see… @wnba.com #LetFreedomPlay

The @wnba.com says a woman is anyone who claims to be one. So if I say I’m a woman, you have to accept it. Those are the rules the #WNBA created. Why does anyone get to decide whose journey is real and whose isn’t? Who gets to judge? Rules Are Rules! #LetFreedomPlay

It's a hard foul and was called a flagrant 2. Also, flagrant 2s happen. Victor Wembanyana was tossed from a playoff game for a flagrant 2. That's sports.

Super important thread here about the subtle but important distinction between collision and contact. When Sophie slammed her face into DiJonai's forearm it was contact, not collision. Lots of folks out there don't understand just how physical basketball is when played properly.

I’m seeing a lot of posts about the “MNBA” but that’s simply misinformation. The NBA has no gender restrictions! Anyone can play in the NBA! It’s the WNBA that is presently discriminating against trans women! I really think some women should play in the NBA where the pay is much better.

no it would not be funny if those failed NBA washouts Kanter and White were “forced to commit to the bit” and had to take estrogen and adopt a new name etc. Transitioning isn’t a funny punishment or humiliation ritual you get to wield against bigots
