lol, “to be fair to Brett Kavanaugh”..

I would really prefer to wrap this series up tonight so I think I’ll put $100 on the Padres, that should be enough to get the Brewers over the hump.

I hope whoever decided Tim Walz should stop calling them weird steps on a Lego every day for the rest of their life.

It’s really cool to see Peralta back to his old form. It’ll all be really cool when the Brewer take him deep three times in the World Series.

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

I think this would make a lot more sense.

010

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

He’s not even the first brewer to do it! Carlos Gomez used to do it all the time, he claimed it helped him know how good the contact was or something weird. No idea if there is anything to it.

There is a ton of poor QB play that still get wins because of the playcaller. I think that’s as important as the person taking the snap.

I’m a fan of Love so I view him as a franchise guy but I understand why people don’t feel that way too and I also think he needs the right person calling plays, which I don’t feel MLF is.

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

If that’s how the new front office views him I think there is a very limited number of people on the roster you say “we’re keeping him for the future”, at that point every single player is available and you accumulate as many draft picks as possible for 2027-2029.

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

If Love isn’t on the list I don’t think anyone else is worth building around because you aren’t finding your QB for a bit.

Rewatching that 9th inning and there was such a nice father-son moment that nobody is talking about as Chourio is walking to the plate. Wonder how the car ride home was.

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Holy shit that’s awesome

020

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Maybe she’s not a baseball fan so she told him she would watch live but actually she was watching on gameday, saw the in play, run(s) and just assumed only one run scored, then refreshed it

120

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or a legitimate thing. Ha

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I just saw an ad for a law firm in LA while watching this dodger game that had the tagline “one call, that’s all” and did a double take thinking Gruber has franchises all across the country.

How many times have I watched the Jackson Chourio walk off this evening?

There are so many awesome parts of this video - Contreras, the entire pop from the bench when the ball gets through, Murphy acting like nothing exciting is going on, Vogel acting like a player again, then realizing he’s part of the coaching staff and giving Murph a calm fist bump.

Whenever it comes, I stand by that. 😂

010

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I wonder what you’re even thinking or if instinct just takes over. If you’re Sal, how do you never look back and see where the ball is? I feel like I’d want to know.

(I was also yelling so loud I couldn’t hear anything on the TV)

010

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I couldn’t tell if he was still talking or not, crowd was so loud you couldn’t even hear him call the play.

010

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I know it’s not for everyone but I love how he lets the moment breathe. He called the play and then just let the crowd noise speak for itself for 10 seconds or so. Uecker was so good at that too. Not everything needs a comment, just soak it in.

Damn Sal Frelick loves playing baseball. What a fun dude.

Nobody has left this place. There is Gatorade on Jackson Chourio. There are vibes. It is rocking.

I just tried to sit down and couldn’t. Still pacing.

I prefer your wife’s methods over mine.

Amazing how one swing can change your entire mood

010

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

My wife came sprinting in the house to see what happened because I was yelling so loud.

190

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Oh my god I would love to be in that’s stadium

120

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

That’ll probably get Hamilton another start.

010

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

The entire offseason should be dedicated to identifying when to challenge pitches.

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Errors have led to all three runs today so that’s fun.

You knew David Hamilton would botch something defensively at some point.

092

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Hell yeah, David! Get that playing time!

010

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

HOW DO YOU NOT CHALLENGE THAT

020

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I probably would have pinch hit Lara and then put in Ortiz as a defensive sub anyway but it likely wouldn’t have mattered, the difference in Lara and Hamilton isn’t much.

100

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Just who you want up in this spot.

000

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

And he likely scores on the Yelich double.

040

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

The brewers are clueless on when to challenge pitches and that’s frustrating considering how good they are at teaching their players the strike zone. Mitchell should be on 1st base.

010

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I dont hate the risk/reward. If you happen to get him it saves you a run, worst case runner gets to second and there are still two outs.

010

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Oh so it’s going to be one of those days at the yard.

020

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Oh now the 3B ump starts calling swings.

010

Barton @barton13.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Maybe trying to be too perfect in his first playoff start, making it bigger than it is.
