Apparently there is an Eid party at my kid's kindergarten today. I found this out because she wanted to wear the celebratory mask and hat she got at another kid's birthday party. She is living her best life, and now I want a party hat.

I will say this: so much of the flattening of the 'male alienation' discourse is a tool of that alienation by design many young men love to cling to the idea that class disillusionment & lack of socialisation is an experience they own because they can't imagine other people

In our house we call the guy who did this the DIY idiot. He rebuilt the shower himself (wrong) and built the kitchen so that there's no space for a dishwasher but there's a whole corner sitting empty under the kitchen counter. We call it the smelly place because the cats used to go in there.
