Had some fun taking pictures with my dad of the ISS transit in front of the Moon tonight. (The ISS being the only satellite that still makes me happy when I can actually see it with my own eyes---I'd rather not see any satellite swarms.) Thanks to @pfsmet for […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

A crescent moon, with some small bright dots (different locations of the ISS overlaid on the Moon) marking out a line through the image, clearly crossing the crescent Moon. The dots start (in time, and you can also start there in the picture) roughly at the right bottom of the picture and end (roughly) at the top left.

Photos taken with my dad's Canon 60D, a Tamron 600m@f/6.3, ISO1250, 1/1600s. The attached image is an overlay of the different photos; I some *very* quick-and-dirty cloning out of hot pixel areas after overlaying the different pictures (rather than do it the better-but-way-slower way around of first applying a hot pixel filter on each image, and only then overlaying them...).
