This is a huge win for California, for ratepayers, and for the climate! Thanks to Senator Becker and his team, our partners, and our supports for getting this signed into law.

Schools in Santa Barbara are closing early this week from extreme heat. No AC. My community has the funds they need, they just need time to install the heat pumps. Plus there's enough money to electrify 200 more schools. Tell @gavinnewsom.bsky.social fund AC for kids: win.newmode.net/fund-schools

This is the final week for the California legislature to pass the COMPETE Act, a major new law that could rein in out-of-control corporate monopolies. If you're a fellow Californian, call your State Senator today and tell them to vote YES: t.co/VZEERv2pLT

Big Oil does not want to have to develop a decommissioning plan as every other energy generator in CA is required to. SB 1259 would change that. It won't raise gas prices, but it could save lives and millions for taxpayers. Tell legislators to put the rights of workers and community first!

California's new $270M incentive program is for first-time EV buyers only, because research shows once drivers try an EV, they stick with them. Can other states trying to backfill lost federal EV tax credits with tight budgets try the same approach? www.canarymedia.com/articles/ele... #energysky

So much for "merit-based." The Trump administration has now admitted it canceled clean energy grants based on how states voted in 2024. Weaponizing taxpayer dollars to punish political opponents is a blatant abuse of power and an attack on our democracy.

Affordable electricity is a national issue. Let Governor Newsom know that we want him to use all the options on the table to reduce costs and improve reliability not just the one's that the monopoly utilities think are in their economic interest.

Two California refineries exploded this year. With the federal government out, who’s watching them?
An El Segundo refinery fire has renewed questions about who is investigating the state’s oil industry after serious accidents. With the U.S. Chemical Safety Board defunded, California has yet to fill the gap.
