@rivianofficial.bsky.social test drove an R2 and loved it - but the lack of CarPlay was a nonstarter for me. Still would love one - maybe in 3 years after my BMW lease is up you'll have CarPlay and I can try again. Just figured you'd want the sentiment iñon your radar.

I have a dark horse theory that "loot boxes" in games were the starting point to the proliferation of gambling apps today, which target the same gamers ten years later when they had real money. And yes, there's no such thing as a "prediction market" - it's just gambling.

The proper follow up is "if you're not already informed about the basic tenets of this position, doesn't that mean you're inherently unqualified? Surgeons don't start learning in the operating room. Why should we accept that you'll need to be brought up to speed on the basics only after confirmed?"

i strongly suspect the reason that they are hiding this is not because cops are moonlighting for ICE contractors off duty but because many of them are working for ICE contractors *while clocked in*

I have no issue with Gen Z. For the most part they seem pretty cool. I have issues with subsets, but I have issues with subsets of millennials and GenX too. That's more an issue of hyperreligiosity and the normalization of Christian ideas being overweighted in American society.

This is a big thing I keep getting stuck on. The bill is being sold as a solution to the financial arms race that will protect nonrev sports. But it ignores where athletic spending costs have actually skyrocketed...except to the players. Not only is that unfair, it doesn't solve the problem!

I think one of the core issues I have with the tech world's obsession with peptides and hgh is that it's just an inherently lazy way to achieve something I've put years into achieving and it's treated as an equivalent because the surface level looks similar. Replication is not achievement.
