I’m pretty sure the main reason is because they don’t take themselves too seriously. They could have been way over the top with big name singers, the truth is eack one knows how ridiculous they are and the just lean into it. All 3 are bangers

It’s looking good! I completely get what you mean about the airbrush. I’m practicing by using it to do base coats once models are primed. The termagants I’m doing now are the first subjects as well as an Apothecary (because I hate painting white with a brush)

the best thing for a quick and effective start to them is base coat with Retributor Armour Spray. Follow up with a wash of Reikland Flesh Shade. Finally a light drybrush of Liberator Gold. It really helps with the bulk of the models.

Paint them corax white first. Next imperial fist (yellow) contrast paint, then magmadroth flame (orange) contrast and finally Baal Red contrast. The trick is REALLY diluting the contrasts with medium and as you go from yellow to red cover less and less pulling paint towards the tip of the flame
