I’ve worked at a regulatory agency for a bit over 30 years and I’ll hear people talk about some dept policy like it was handed down on tablets from Mount Sinai. I was in the room when some of these calls were made & it was just like 4 of us in the room trying to work though a dozen agenda items.

Then the restaurant should cook them with the shells on but remove them before the dish is plated. It shouldn’t be on the customer to try to do it with either their ungloved fingers or even worse a knife & fork. It should happen in the back of the house.

Even the early days of cell phones with limited data plans & set number of minutes led to a bunch of surprises when the bills came out. Now they just charge you an arm & a leg on a monthly basis and give you phones that slow down & don’t hold a charge after exactly 2 years so you have to upgrade

Remember when 6 Dems voted for the NDAA? 2 of them, Cuellar & Gonzales, had just recently won their primaries where they faced DSA challengers (they are located in TX- so it’s not a surprise). Progressives can’t win everywhere. In some districts a Blue Dog is the best we can hope for.
