The leaves are starting to change, it's pouring down rain, and the wind's blowing at 20 MPH... I think it's officially fall now here in Western WA.

Will still be a bit small, but at least I'll have enough room to actually have "stations" instead of doing everything all on one desk. I cannot stand it. It gets so cluttered and unorganized so fast, especially since the space I'm currently in is shared, and it just overwhelms me so much!!

I thankfully already have a desk I can use for the tracing portion of the process and it can hold most of my Stained Glass materials and tools, I just need a desk for the cutting and soldering process and a table for the grinding process; I'd like to have "stations" for each step.

I definitely couldn't host a tour in the tiny shed or show off my work... At least downstairs I'll have an entire wall to put my works on as well as a whole room. PLUS I'LL HAVE WINDOWS!!!

I'd have a LITTLE more room moving it into the room we have, plus I would get the bonus of having WINDOWS!!! Made the decision cause I want to apply to ARTrails, but they do a studio tour every year where artists open their studios to the public to view how they work as well as look at their work.

Decided I'm going to move where I do Stained Glass into the room we now have available downstairs. At the moment I do Stained Glass in a little shed my dad made attached to were my spouse and I live. It's not terrible, but it's a very small space due to it also doubling as a storage space.

Theres still other makers out there, but Kokomo felt untouchable to me… I never would have expected them to stop making glass… I am incredibly heart broken right over this…

Kokomo, one of the biggest Art Glass makers out there, is no longer making Glass… The sadness I feel is immeasurable. I have been using their Glass since I was 12-13. I have used Kokomo for all of my projects. I literally do not even know where else to get my Glass from. There’s so little left now.

This Gorget will feature Cherokee Roses, The North Star, and a Red Wolf, and will use Rose Gold around the border. All being symbols of hope and resilience. Plan to leave the felt exposed in the end and not fully cover the piece in beads.

For those unaware of what it is, a Gorget is a piece of armor that specifically covers the upper chest and sometimes into the upper neck area. The Cherokee would make Gorgets out of copper or gourds usually, adding family symbols and/or symbols for strength and a strong spirit.

SAME HERE!! The amount of times I get asked “is this real?” at booths breaks my heart a little every time. Like, yes, everything I sell is real Stained Glass.

Oh that’s just dirty practice all around. I would be furious if someone tried passing a resin ball off as an opal to me, same price and all. I’ve also noticed a lot of ring makers are using resin “stones” and trying to pass them off as real with a high price tag and everything... Very upsetting.

And it’s not like I have issue with those kinds of pieces; everyone has a right to create whatever they want, I just wish they would call it something different and more relevant to what the product actually is, cause that kind of stuff is NOT Stained Glass.

Oh that really grinds my gears to know… Searching by technique may help; “Copper Foil Technique Stained Glass” “Lead Came Stained Glass”/“Leadwork Stained Glass” But sure enough I looked up just “Stained Glass Tutorial” and the first few results were for resin and plastic works…

It is called Stained Glass because they “STAIN” THE GLASS! Call it “Stained Resin” or “Stained Plastic” or SOMETHING APPROPRIATE. Don’t borderline scam people by calling it “Stained Glass” and trying to pass it off as such.

Something that has been a pet peeve of mine for forever; labeling something as Stained Glass when it is NOT Stained Glass. Saying something is Stained Glass implies it is MADE OF STAINED GLASS; DIFFERENT COLORED GLASSES. Not resin. Not plastic. Stained Glass is GLASS.

The Mexican Wolf as well has faced so much hardship... Things were looking bright for them until that mother and leader of an important pack was shot ""accidentally""... That's one of the biggest worries with the Red Wolf; that someone will shoot one and claim "oh I thought it was a Coyote"...

This is a rough estimate on the range Red Wolves used to have, including the subspecies Canis rufus floridanus and Canis rufus gregoryi. They used to have MASSIVE coverage all over the East Coast... then it came down to less than 15 Red Wolves total when they finally decided to work on conservation.

I got diagnosed at around the age of 20 and it’s been 6 years since then. I take Adderall and it definitely helps with my workflow, motivation, and time management! Without it, I’m basically unable to do anything, even getting out of bed is a chore… It’s like a night and day difference with my meds

My Etsy and KoFi will still be up, but I'm mostly going to use them for pieces and works I want to sell ASAP; most of the pieces on my KoFi and Etsy won't be in my actual shop, and stuff in my actual shop won't be put on my Etsy or KoFi.

The place I used for my shop recently lowered their prices, so I'm going to have my own shop again! I have also decided that I will now release my works in "drops"! Everything else that I make from now until around November will be saved for my first drop!
