BariTengineer @baritengineer.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Caveat: I got MNK to 99 and completed almost all of Rhapsodies of Vana'diel before doing most of my leveling, this means I had a ton of XP bonuses permanently stacked increasing my leveling speed by a very noticeable amount. If you are playing the free trial or not doing Rhapsodies YMMV. 000

A tank but with trusts this plays like a dark knight that's shifting through the elementals to create a burst. Has more stability and threat options than DRK. Well worth the time, but reliant on InfoBar. 100

Only 2 effects at a time, one centered on the player and one placed on the ground, but since the cast times are quick you actually get to fight not just cast support abilities. I like the idea of swapping between grimoires but at this level I set it to Black and let it be. 100

Once I decided how I wanted to run that setup I just repeated it over and over, like 8 shows a week, but it's fitting for a dancer I suppose. 100

I don't think I've interacted with the automaton equipment system enough to discuss. Cool in theory, lots of work to get set up in practice, but the payoff seems amazing. 100

It feels supporty with its rolls but being able to Quick Draw for strong elemental attacks of your own keeps the corsair feeling dynamic. 100

Getting Corsair's Roll at level 1 is amazing, you now have bonus between 8% and 24% bonus XP at all times as long as you don't BUST. The best XP grinding subjob period. I regret not realizing how strong it was until I was doing my "cleanup" to 50... 100

With how fast getting to 50 is now that's not terribly surprising. I think the fun in this one will be hitting 99, then searching out the abilities I want/need. 100

That being said my XP bonuses were sky high by the time I leveled this so my MP issues were mitigated by frequent levels refilling my bars. 110

Once I spent more time with it the complexity ramped up a ton. Even at 77 I don't have the elemental spirits which was a mistake... 110

NIN supposedly can tank but that's a 99 activity, for now, get all purpose ninja weapons and nuke everything down with Shantotto. I enjoyed it, I think if I set up some macros for swapping the NIN weapons this would be amazing. 100
