So Nami is rubber in "Gum-Gum Geste". What does that mean for Luffy? What's there to mean? Luffy's Luffy whether he's rubber or not. And because he thinks of weird stuff like this all the time, Nami has a little inspiration to pull from. PROBABLY won't make her accept her powers any quicker, tho'.

Today in "Gum-Gum Geste", we see that when you're on the ship of the Straw Hat Pirates, you learn to let loose and have a little fun. And come on, if YOU had a rubber body, wouldn't you do this AT LEAST once? (I referenced Chopper's room on the SUNNY by accident, but these bits go everywhere.)

(That last shot of Nami fleeing the scene is perhaps one of my most favorite things I've ever drawn. I'm mean LOOKIT HER.

Also, I was originally gonna have Chopper calmly point out to Nami that she's made of rubber and as such, her bones CAN'T break, but that wouldn't have nearly been as funny, Chopper would totally react like this, and I would have robbed myself of a fun visual. Thank goodness I pivoted.)
