I'd have KT instead of Hanley and Lewis Ferguson instead of McLean Clarke is such an uninspiring manager .

Barcabhoy @barcabhoy.bsky.social · 19/03/2025

The brouhaha over the antics of Rangers players might get overblown The hypocrisy though is eye watering, on both sides I said we shouldn't sign Griffiths, before we signed him . I didn't want someone with his baggage. I said the scarf stuff was idiotic

Rangers fans can celebrate however they like , it's been long enough , and we'd do the same However, their players . 🤦‍♂️. A classless , brainless bunch .

Did the manager pick the wrong team ? Not in my view , who else could he have chosen ? Did he set them up the wrong way ? No idea, i'm not qualified to comment. Have we got some players who aren't good enough for our toughest games ? Self evidently yes Why ? Now there's a point to debate

Barcabhoy @barcabhoy.bsky.social · 16/03/2025

Well that was beyond disappointing It confirms what we've known for a while. We lack depth. There are some players who just aren't good enough , and a couple who are talented enough but not reliable We can't use injuries. We only had 2 starters missing, and Nawrocki did as well as Trusty does

The best teams i've seen in the CL last 16 PSG Bayern Barcelona Inter Nothing from Wednesday games was especially good, although you never write off Real Madrid If i had to pick a winner - PSG

So King is claiming he brought the new investors to the door Just for younger viewers , a reminder of King's character. As an aside , i think the investment is likely, but what shape it takes and the scale is unknown Everything else is speculation

Heroic Absolutely heroic . Undone by a little lack of depth. We just didn't have the quality to bring on , apart from Idah No failures. Special mention to Schlupp.

So the "Secret Sauce" that Hearts recruitment team is drinking now , has delivered an own goal machine CB who is on his 5th team in 4 years . 🤔

Barcabhoy @barcabhoy.bsky.social · 15/02/2025

Obvious caveat to start I'm completely unqualified to pick a team for Munich Despite that , here goes KS AJ CCV Trusty Schlupp McGregor Engels Hatate Kuhn Idah Maeada

In other news Middlesbrough got hammered and Iheanacho was dreadful He's now easily the highest paid player at a club who have lost £105 million in the last 5 years We did the right thing in not pushing the boat out for him

Barcabhoy @barcabhoy.bsky.social · 12/02/2025

Gutsy performance It's difficult at this level , you're weakest link can kill you Nothing to be ashamed of for the club We're getting there

Barcabhoy @barcabhoy.bsky.social · 09/02/2025

Consequences Last season Rangers lost £17m That was with a £12 m contribution from player sales and a £4 m contribution from the Scottish Cup from the quarters onward The equivalent numbers this year are £800k and £Zero If Clement survives , this will be why

The window Understandably fans focus on who is arriving. We all like shiny new things . However i judge a window in the round Part 1 Getting game time for players on the periphery.

Hard call as to who was the worst of this trio today Referee - 81% possession yet we commit 60% more fouls 🤬 Beaton - Just utterly dreadful Peter Grant on Celtic TV - Always knows better . An ears bleed listen On balance I’m giving it to Beaton

A virtuous cycle is a self-reinforcing loop where positive outcomes lead to further positive effects, creating a continuous upward spiral of improvement Celtic are now in this loop 1 . We sell peripheral players for significant sums Think Bernabai, Mikey Johnson ,Oh, Haksabanovic, Iwata & Lawal

Interesting take on where it went wrong Good insight and hard to disagree with most of it , although don’t go along with the view a Wanyama would have made us even worse We desperately missed a ball winner and physical strength, so that’s the one take I couldn’t understand Listen for yourself

Managerial appointments are critical,as important as the quality of recruitment A club lives or dies by both Mistakes made can have consequences for years , sometimes for Decades Imagine if Sir Alex took the Rangers job when offered in 1985 The consequences of rejection

Barcabhoy @barcabhoy.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

We need a couple more match winners in the squad Players who have the vision and technique to change a game Don’t see it in Palma or Yang Forrest will be a miss over the next 6 weeks as he can change games Fingers crossed Kuhn doesn’t miss more games

This is a very fair assessment of the challenges facing Rangers , from a realistic Rangers fan The squad cost rules really handcuff potential investment, so whilst not having money now is the problem, the new regulations rope off what was a historic solution x.com/amckellar89/...

Brugge has an Academy style team called Brugge NXT On Wednesday Brugge started with 4 players from the Academy system and 3 who were on the bench Celtic had 1 starter and 3 on the bench , all of whom made their debut's at least 6 years ago. Regardless of the challenges this isn't acceptable

The new UEFA Regulations are designed that clubs live within their means . Specifically they are designed so that clubs cannot just throw money at buying players or paying wages , that are not covered by Revenue and player trading profitability. This gives Celtic an inbuilt advantage over Rangers
