i love the oldschool darkstalkers posters with some characters being huge for no reason lol the layouts are so wild i gotta figure out how to do shit like this…. but i guess first get the designs down for the rest of the roster

these acrylic markers i got are fun but i figured out why they were streaking & it was the huge canvas size + overworking while the paint was still wet, AND ANOTHER THING the brushtip points arent thin enough to really get In there

god i really really really dont want to have to get into actual acrylic paints but im staring down the barrel of my rendering education leading directly to that & painstaking noodling with millimeter-thin brushes 😭

the markers are streaky as FUCK which im more inclined to chalk up to user error ie im hoping its user error & i dont have to get specific paper or bristol for this 😒

POSSIBLY only issue is the spoon already has a lot of raw tool marks & im concerned about hitting too hard

i got a hand-forged metal spoon while i was in prague but it's VERY bendy even tho the metal is thick, which leads me to believe another heating-quenching process needs to take place but i have no idea where to go for that or if thats even doable myself in an apartment (survery says no)

AND ANOTHER THING THERE BETTER BE SOME COIL NODS IN THIS

020 0

also im cracking up that our guy was like YEAH FINE & wrote his soul off to be spitroasted for all eternity for a relationship that wasnt gonna last another 3 months like holy moly LOL

disappointing lack of gay shit in a game about bdsm angels written by a gay man but im not done with it yet maybe ill catch some swordfighting later

positives i love how hard theyre leaning into making the effects look like schlocky 80s film effects lol theyre being super faithful to the visual language of hellraiser 1 and 2

theres a lot (a LOT) of re4 in the sauce on this game & a not so insignificant amount of outlast in here, & if you want outlast then the VA work needs to be as strong as you can afford it. it's just kinda Eh here, no disrespect to the actors, but i needed more

110 0

im also incredibly spoiled by outlast trials yet again cus im encountering a lot of weird bugs of torso models just not loading & really obvious enemy spawn triggers. i get that this game just came out so there'll be bugfixed but im getting sick of games shipping kinda half baked

130 0

still on pinhead the movie the game, truth be told the main character's joss whedonisms are starting to get on my fuckin nerves. if they wanted to have the main guy constantly commentating on shit then it needed better writing. i think that was their intent cus even pinhead's getting annoyed lol

missed opportunity for a minigame sequence when ms latex asks you to get the paddle anklebar & humungodong where you go to take them & the person who actually owns that gets mad & you have to have a whole KCD2-style bargaining sequence

0120 0

i did find people fucking at least & i was like thank god for that

1190 0

hellraiser is cute! i like the fetish club area with everybody just kind of awkwardly standing around and halfheartedly dancing which unironically is exactly most of what happens in actual fetish clubs
