#PancMidwest 2025 was a complete success. Shoutout to the amazing organizers who packed the speaker list with not only junior PIs but majority women!! Excellent #pancreaticcancer talks and the trainees were on fire including BAP lab grad Sara Filippelli 💜 Already looking forward to next year

Indiana law requires that this form be filled out and put into my Purdue University #tenure file. We will file this under "Things that were not on my bingo card." We are also required to post our course syllabi on public forums so people can see exactly what topics we are teaching. #STEM

I’m teaching a senior college seminar course focused on genetics. What’s your favorite stage appropriate paper that uses mouse, zebrafish, drosophila, or c. elegans models??? Let’s get these scientists excited 💫 #cancer #academicsky #scicomm #BAPlab

I’m sorry. I just hallucinated. I thought NCI said they are only funding to 4%. Someone correct me www.cancer.gov/grants-train...

Also these beasts submitted their tenure package today!! Jason Hanna has been my ride or die since day one. I am so glad I got to establish my lab with him as a neighbor. In true academic fashion, in 9 months we will find out if we get to keep our jobs✨ #BAPlab @cancer-inst-purdue.bsky.social

I’m thrilled to introduce Dr. Claire Pfeffer 🥼🧬! I am so thankful for all her hard work and passion for scientific research. It will be a significant loss for the #BAPlab as she transitions to the next phase of her scientific career, but we are all so excited for her future success!

Alright! Took me way too long but I’m here and trying to re-engage. The world is burning but the #BAPlab is not! Up next! In two weeks our lab twins Garima Baral and Clair Pfeffer will defend their Ph.D.s 🔬I may burst from excitement or stress, one of the two. @cancer-inst-purdue.bsky.social
