I know everyone is focused on the #14thAmendment decision and upholding the "Trump is a rapist" judgement but one thing #SCOTUS did that is depressing af, they ruled it's a violation of the first amendment to prevent the rich from buying elections. Bribery is officially supported by SCOTUS (again).

I just finished reading #JamesBaldwin The Fire Next Time and it hits hard. It speaks some hard truths not just about America and White supremacy, but Black people and some of our own internal problems in religion, sexuality and self perception. James Baldwin was definitely ahead of his time.

I've been using the new #Pebble Time 2 for the last three days and it's been great so far. Easy to set up, easy to use and integrates really well with my phone. It's early days but battery life has been good so far and looks to provide at least two weeks on a charge.

Black Pebble Time 2.

The positives start with it functions really well. Integration with Android is superb. Notifications come through clearly and reliably with a good set of options to manage them. Fitness settings work a bit more consistently than my previous watch (AmazFit T-Rex Pro) and there are alarm settings readily available. That may not sound like a big deal but you'd be surprised how some watches don't support this.

- There is great support within the Pebble App and the Pebble software store. Lots of watch faces, customization options and app selection (caveat being, wtf are you really going to do with a game or utility app on a small ass smartwatch screen).

- It's very easy to use even though navigation is done with buttons as opposed to a touch screen (old school).

- Presentation is excellent with great animations and graphics for transitions and functions.

- Battery life is reported to be two weeks or more depending on functions used and even though it's early days for me, this tracks so far as I've only used 6% power over three days.

- The charger is awesome, using similar technology in the Steam Controller 2. There's a little cylinder device that connects to the Pebble magnetically and you attach a USC-C cable to it for charging. Very cool.

The negatives - The Pebble Time 2 follows the Apple/Google trend of looking more like a toy as opposed to a watch. It's not a deal breaker but you definitely see the stark difference when coming from better looking devices.

- The screen is raised from the chassis of the device which causes some concern.

- Also with the screen, it's hardened glass, not gorilla glass or something a bit more shatter resistant. I'd imagine the glass can scratch or break pretty easily so care with definitely have to be taken when out and about.

Overall, I'm happy with the Pebble Time 2 so far. Again, it's early days for the first impressions are very good with the positives far outweighing the negatives.

From time to time people ask me why I didn't pursue a career in #gamedesign. I kinda did for a time working on three games, one actually shipped. I didn't pursue it further because the game industry, basically, is shit. Constant greed and mismanagement like #politics. Civilization is not civilized.

I appreciate what #Valve is trying to do with #Steam - #SteamOS in making it more console like, but PC gaming just simply isn't there yet. On the #Switch2 subreddit, they usually talk about the games they're playing. On the #SteamDeck subreddit, they're usually asking for help to fix a problem.

It's 3:09 am and I'm in the process of recovering one of my #Linux systems after borking it. I was reminded of the utter importance of #Timeshift after poorly using the sudo rm and sudo rf commands in terminal. Using Linux without Timeshift is like having sex without a condom. Just. Don't. Do. It.

Design applied on a tie dye t-shirt for that 60s' Woodstock retro feel. Dad didn't like it, opting for a white tee with the design instead.

The Switch 2 version of Warframe is excellent and comparable to the PS5 and PC versions. The Joy-Con Mouse support is fantastic with speed and accuracy as good as Touch Pad and Gyro on Steam Deck. Playing on Deck is awesome but Switch 2 is my preferred way to play now. #Switch2 #Warframe #Gaming

This is from years ago when the Google Nexus 7 was popular. Sketchbook Pro was the best drawing application on the platform at the time and Wacom sold the best capacitive stylus for touch screens at the time with Bamboo. The tips weren't as durable as I'd like but they worked really well. Those were some great times.
