I'm going to advocate against using their services, ask my federal reps to ban them from govt procurement, because they should never have shown both names globally and they certainly shouldn't show 'Lake America' without 'Lake Ontario' unless it's settled law that it can be changed by Exec Order.

It's unlikely the President has the authority to make that executive action, similar to renaming DoD to DoW. Instead of waiting for Congressional approval, Google and now Apple have chosen to accept a contentious Executive action of dubious legality when they could have made other choices.

We should also start demanding our federal govt work with European allies and anyone else to demand the breakup companies like Google, Amazon etc. Not one shareholder/fund will lose money, no one will lose a job (there'll be a hiring boom). The only 'loser' will be the influence of big tech execs.

I'm in the process of kicking them out of my life as much as possible. 1. Start with using other browsers like the excellent Duck Duck Go. 2. Find alternative data storage. I'm in Proton right now, it was easy and they're European based. 3. Make this an issue for the federal govt.

RJ because he's so wonderfully Canadian, Jalen because despite the game, size and background difference, I think he more than anyone else handles his business like a more pleasant Larry Legend. If there is no cost to a political decision, one that says we don't care about morality etc as long as we get to do business, then it will happen again and again. Your decision was bad for global business. Google chose to make this change, they didn't have to, let's give them some consequences.

3. Move my data backup to another company 4. Contact my MP and tell them I want them to work with Western allies to break up Google (YouTube, Waymo etc) or at the least make them pay for their political choice. Legislation to stop them from preventing Graphene OS on future pixels is a start.
