Just saw an add from a local mattress store offering 60 month financing on a new mattress. Might as well just rent at that point.

@pyrox.dev It does, but it notably doesn't have the "founded by a billionaire to ensure corporate control as an effort to decentralize hosting costs" as one of them. That seems like an unsolvable showstopper for ATP.

One PHP vulnerability hits the news cycle, and everyone is already heralding the "security apocalypse". I've worked in cyber security for the banking system for 25 years. I promise, as 'bad' as this week seems, it could be much worse. Happy Friday. :blobcatcool:

@pyrox.dev Looks like the correct answer wasn't ATProto, but something actually decentralized like ActivityPub.

@vaporeon.baby We're talking about the same company. I used to work in web hosting, Cloudflare absolutely is complicit in the DDOS for hire game. Most of the time with them, the call is coming from inside the house.

@vaporeon.baby Crimeflare is also one of the leading sources of DDOSs and providers of AI scrapers that don't honor robots.txt.

Did get Chicago Midwestern Edition installed in #OpenOMSI last night, mostly. But now I'm confused why signal masts don't seem to appear (though does give Chicago the appearance of futuristic hovering signals).

Watching 70% of the web scramble this week makes me wonder if we can go back to worrying about electric scooterboards on airplanes? That seems safer.

Of course, this was the missing piece. So after MUCH relief of not having to camp out in the living room or the yard for the next several nights and not having to go to a new IKEA opening weekend, he's in the bedroom finishing up on the furniture project.

And he's saying CRST didn't bring us the whole shipping list and he signed off on it and just DONE™ and we're both not wanting to go to a new IKEA opening weekend so I just kinda let that burn out. Then I get home. "Hey bear! What's this metal thing on the porch?"

Are there any other #OMSI2 or #OpenOMSI players out there that can recommend some reasonable American map and bus addons? Not super specific about country and I'm liking the CTA DLC (though wish it had more than two playable routes, one of which is seasonal)
